  1. The only positive thing in that game is that I started Wainwright on my fantasy team tonight. The home team going 0-4 is positive on my end. The only bad thing is that I see the Cardinals as more of a threat than the Astros. Too bad they can't both lose when playing each other.
  2. Celebrating a resurrected Jesus is even more enjoyable when the Cubs don't suck.
  3. I miss the jokes already. Are the Reds serious on having him as pitching coach?? IIRC, he's been a pitching coach in the past. Not to mention, some speculate that he had more of Dusty's ear on Cubs' pitching decisions than Larry. Well thats definitely not something to put on the resume.
  4. Looper is going to win the Cy Young, its inevitable.
  5. Having Wells throw 109 pitches in his first start after struggling with injuries the past few years doesn't seem like it can be a good idea.
  6. I can care less how we win it as long as we win it. If we get a little help so be it. We have been charitable in that department the past 3-4 years. I agree. I won't ever wish injury on anyone, but I'm also not going to be upset when an impact player on an NL Central team goes down with an injury. I can't feel too bad for these type of guys when they get injured. They're millionaires, its not like they'll go broke (unless they're idiots, which is often the case).
  7. Cuban, Colangelo, Bill Murray..... Assuming vance does win the powerball, i think you'd have to throw his name in there too... Maybe I need to go and learn to play the lottery. im pretty sure it doesnt take a genius to figure it out ;) Thanks, no day is quite complete without an ego bruise or two
  8. I'm calling a Braden Looper no-hitter his first start.
  9. The season is about to spiral out of control, they need to turn things around very quickly.
  10. The only special guests I want are the freaking players.
  11. your computer. Surely I could find something heavy that less expensive. well, you're in the library, throw some books. You obviously haven't been to college and seen the price of books  What college do you go to Vance? Just curious. Ball State....the Harvard of the midwest.

  14. There's a Reds fan sitting behind me in the library....what should I throw at her?
  15. Lets go Cubs! Get a 10 run lead early because I have to leave in an hour.
  16. Doesn't that prove you wrong?
  17. of course not. how could a future hall of fame manager know more about baseball than a couple of guys on a message board? You do realize LaRussa pioneered the idea of the 9th inning closer, which both common sense and statistics show is a horrible idea? He's not as smart as he's cracked up to be. yeah, eck was a disaster as a closer. I'm sure he would have spiraled out of control if he ever pitched the 7th or 8th.
