  1. i would consider that ok with me for an all-star 2B Mark Loretta is an all-star 2B. Do you want him to? not a good comparison....loretta is almost 40 You're missing the point. I'm not saying Loretta is as good as Roberts. I'm just sick of people using the "all-star" thing to validate the Roberts trade. We get it, he's good. Pointing out that he's an all-star just makes you look desperate. Being an all-star is meaningless when looking at trades. Absolutely meaningless. Especially when its the lone pitty All-Star every team has.
  2. Arsenal and Liverpool are also playing in the league game between the two Champions League games as well, so they will be playing each other three straight games in an 8 day period.
  3. I'm excited to get Man U again. That sucks, if anything I was hoping for Manu vs. Chelsea. Arsenal should win, but this is all Liverpool is playing for and they become great in the Champions League play. I would love to see a Schalke upset over Barca, but like Liverpool this is all they are really playing for too.
  4. I think Will Clark may have hit a 8-run HR that series. He could have single handedly beat the Cubs.
  5. Derby either asked the USSF to release Feilhaber, or Nowak did the most idiotic thing a coach can do at that level, and based his roster on camp form rather than overall ability. Dax McCarty sucks. Like, he's the Taylor Twellman of center mids. Nowak comes off as a complete prick, so thats possible. He is someone that I would not want coaching youth too.
  6. Why is that man still on air? Srsly. He is a complete tool, and worthless. I have no idea why he is on. But then again ESPN sucks for around 22 hours of the day.
  7. I know this Mexico team is not supposed to be real great, but right now this US team won't be beating Canada or Mexico in the semi's and missing the Olympics again. Hopefully they get it figured out in 2 days before the semi's.
  8. Depending on Price's arrival, the Rays could go 1-2. Guessing that won't be till after May 1st.
  9. Baylor's saving grace right now is being #33 in the RPI with a #28 in SOS and 3 wins over RPI top 50. They will drop with this loss, but might still be ok. Still they look kind of like last years Clemson.

I'm fixing to, I have too :) Stupid work right now.
  11. Duncan should get 5 Regular season games. Probably gets reduced to 2 or 3 on appeal. I like Duncan's energy but you can't make stupid, dirty plays. Gomes should not be suspended at all. I think MLB will make him take a game, but he shouldn't. If you do, at least don't hint about it a couple of days before.
  12. My god looking at that lineup is just brutal. As much as Hendry and the Cubs take a beating I am sure glad those days are gone.
  13. That would be great, I want to see Tampa do something. If Tampa wins 89, Toronto is around what we expect, New York and Boston do the usual, that would mean Baltimore is going to lose a whole lot of games. They might not break 60.
  14. I guess Girardi must have changed his mind. Further proof you should never trust a man named Shelley
  15. Right now Colorado is beating Baylor by 12 in the 2nd half. I almost wonder if that would be enough to knock out Baylor from the tournament. Colorado is bad, and that might be enough to get someone like Ohio State or Florida in, in front of them.
  16. I'm more stunned about the draw. No joke, that should have almost been given to them after managing a point. I think my old college team could have beaten Cuba.
  17. That sounds like a pretty fun system. Is there a similar system for teams in the Americas? The greatest part about it pitting countries who hate each other against each other. Its simply the best of the best. If players had to choose between winning the domestic league or the champions league, I think they would choose the Champions League. I could be wrong on that though. Here's my favorite Champs League Goal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jKdjHODTBo Next to the Stanley Cup the trophy is best around IMO. http://www.football-wallpapers.com/wallpapers/champions_league_2005_1_1024x768.jpg
  18. Texas got a commitment from the #5 Soph in the Country. 2010-11 might be a good season :-k . Seriously whats the point of getting a 15 year old to commit. Thats two more years wondering if he will pull an Eric Gordan.
  19. Looks like 5 Cubans are missing in the US now after the game. From what I saw Mexico and Canada were tied 1-1, this from Wikipedia, so not sure how accurate it is.
  20. The hit Longoria in the head????? The running over the catcher blocking the plate a couple of days ago.
  21. But he still takes less pitches and he scores far fewer runs. Besides, you can't just subtract Soriano's intentional walks. The kind of player he is draws him more of those types of walks. Is the end result the same? Yes. It's a walk. Not like it's a huge difference with the IBBs... Soriano drew 4, Theriot 1. Plus, you're not going to get IBBed to start the game. I think Theriot is a better leadoff hitter than Soriano. Its easy to draw the intentional walks with Theriot hitting behind you. Avoid one of the biggest HR threats in the lineup for maybe the worst hitter in the lineup. Considering Theriot should be batting 8th, there is no way he should be hitting leadoff. Hopefully once Derosa is 100% and the rust is gone he will move up to that.
  22. I'm sure he got the wink from Girardi. Whatever, It is a lose-lose in my opinion. They go back at the Devil Rays and they are the [expletive] Yankees to all the haters. If they let the play go then they are wusses. Whatever. IMHO, Girardi is sending a message that is a long time coming. It is time the Yankees started to play with passion again. They already beaned the top prospect in baseball, it could have stopped there. Not to mention it was still a perfectly legal play that started the whole mess.
  23. But they've had a one-man intangible machine who wins games all by himself and risks bodily harm to record meaningless outs! What more could you ask for? If they hadn't just drilled Longoria the inning before it might not have happened. But since Duncan made the comments then followed up with this it probably could not have been stopped.
  24. Wishful thinking: Hendry told Lou a Roberts deal is coming so he's putting Soriano in the 2 hole. That was my thought too.
  25. Personally I am glad to see the Rays bringing this new attitude. It is Spring Training, but its a lifetime of losing as well. They have a very good young team, and they need to know that they can compete against the 2 highest dollar teams in all of baseball. Tampa would be a very good team in the West, but in the East its going to be much more difficult to continue to get better than your oppenents every year.
