Its only Tuesday and your already making excuses ;-). You just lost Bedard for the week. Yes but I replaced him with Todd Wellemeyer :yahoo: . If Bedard is hurt I would much rather him go on the DL than have the good chance of putting up a negative for me.

To me the 7 No Hitters is up there. No one else can even really top 2. How many great pitchers never throw a single one. Add in that Ryan had 12 1-Hitters as well. Then again I am from Texas so I am a little biased.

He'll try to take the high road, but the Chicago media will press the issue and he'll throw that excuse in. When he gets booed--loudly--the first time he leaves the dugout, it'll be because of racist CUb fans. Thank god Joe Morgan will not be doing any of the games. -

At least waited until the stadium was finished and the yankees had already begun playing in it. After a Jeter or Arod injury and it would have been great. -
He is the boy who could fly, not 20 till next year, Cesc and Denilson are still only 20 :-). I just don't know who Arsenal could really add to spark better finishing, or if they just have to wait it out and play the kids till they get it.

It's the same problem for Arsenal game after game after game. They outplay their opponents but just can't get the big goal when they need to. The rest of their play is top-notch and arguably the best in Europe but their finishing tends to be dreadful. They should have had a couple goals in the first half because Man U was horrendous in the back and gave a ton of balls away but Arsenal couldn't get it done. And it came back to bite them in the end. They outplayed Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League and couldn't take advantage and it ended up costing them. They outplayed AC Milan in the first leg of the Round of 16 and took a once-in-history win at the San Siro to advance. They are a much much better finishing team with a healthy Van Persie though.

Hopefully the result will spark Arsenal next season. They got off to such a great start, but just ran out of gas it almost seems like. With the average age being around 23-24 for their starting XI, I think they have just a little bit of hope for the future. Still it would be nice if they could win a freaking Champions League Trophy, not that its easy or anything. Can't help but think Ronaldo deserves to win the league this year in one of the most dominating EPL seasons ever. Pretty much a run away win for the FIFA POY too.

Boy, I hate Hal Steinbrenner. I was generally ok with George, from a public perspective, but his sons really seem like classy individuals. You can tell he is a prick just by looking at him. -
Judging by the response I got when I attempted to trade him, you view seems to be shared by others. Hopefully in a few weeks he will be showing signs of recapturing that CY Young form :roll: The only time he has touched it the past couple of years was when he picked up the trophy and moved it to San Francisco.

Clint started and played 85 as the attacking mid. Was subbed for Boca when they wanted to dig in and play for the points. I don't think it is a coincidence that they win when they have McBride, Bullard and Dempsey starting together and Boazza and Eddie Johnson nowhere near the squad. It's all but official, Ronaldinho to AC Milan is happening. That is a crowded midfield. I'm sure Dunga is unbelievably happy with this turn of events. Kaka, dinho and Pato playing and training together. Anything less than a Dutch Euro Championship will be a disappointing summer for me, they are due for a major trophy. That was an unreal ending. I was so mad watching it. Not because of the whole having to score in the final three minutes of extra time even though we were up a man for 115 minutes thing, but because Christian Miles is the worst commentator I've ever heard. Luca's strike to tie it with literally two seconds left and it sounded like he was reading from a cue card and could care less about anything going on in the game. "aaaand luca toni with the header to tie it up. Bayern advances to the semi final round after a late comeback. Oliver Kahn looks like he can't believe it." The amount of American commentators I enjoy listening too is very very small.

Looking at some of the pitching results tonight are pretty scary between CC, Oswalt, and Wang. Any player having the ability to go -28 is just wrong, and on the other end a pitcher being able to put up 40 points is just scary. On the bright side pitchers are going to be very expensive to keep this season. Thus putting either more players into the draft or better players. This will likely be Johan's first time in the draft during my stay in the league. I'm very happy tonight that DiceK, Kuroda, Price, and Owings are all going to be exempt for a couple of years.
