Been hoping to see San Antonio/Austin get an expansion team but could understand not wanting a 3rd team in Texas when a market like Minneapolis hasn't been touched. Just a lot of undiscovered/developed talent in Texas and the lack of any NCAA teams outside of SMU doesn't help.

Still a lot of money for a RB who has had 1 injury free season. I wanted Dallas to keep him but not for that price. Draft Gurley or Gordon in the 1st round instead. Or see about getting Peterson.

He was expected to flip to Texas two weeks ago during Jr Day but the storm in DFW prevented him from going. Still expected to happen.

And then there is Texas. From an outsiders perspective is Texas even an attractive basketball job? Arena kind of sucks, plenty of recruits but most of them go out of state. Excited to get a new coach regardless.

Russell is right now, at 21, a better defensive SS than Castro by almost universal agreement. Whether he's going the be the better player is of course an unknown - if it were a lock that Russell would be what the scouts project, he certainly will be, but we don't know that. But the difference in defensive ability is reason enough to keep Russell at SS. It's not as though we're talking about moving a franchise player (which Castro is not) for a punchless defensive specialist. As to whether Castro is traded, that's hard to say. I think he's the most likely of our bevy of SS to be moved, but there are a lot of variables - what the potential return is, whether Bryant looks like he can stay at 3B, Russell's timeline, et al. The Cubs will be in a lot better position to answer those questions this summer, and if Castro is moved that will probably be when it happens. In a year we are looking to contend I don't see us trading basically our most veteran hitter. Sure the rookies could all play lights out but that scenario is unlikely. Castro getting traded this break is probably more due to his play than anyone else's. And if he is playing poorly/dumb we will be selling low.

I'm guessing if this video exists it is probably 4-5 years old, probably from college and paid off by T Boone Pickens. Its obvious he is being extorted for money.

I sort of doubt the validity of it, but him doing anything stupid a couple of years ago is not out of the question.
