    What did we ever do to them? I'm still chalking this up to jealousy over the popularity of the team despite it's dismal success on the field. And perhaps to the (mostly) myth of the "social event"-Cub fan. They hate everyone and the Cards more than the Cubs. There are a lot of Cub fans in Houston and always at the games.

    Yeah, I did. As much of a sham as he is, he still took care of his clients, and go them the money. That's his job, and he did it very well. Best in the business. It may not have been good for baseball, but it was good for his clients. However, what he did with A-Rod was not for his client's wishes. And, with this, he becomes a welcher. I never liked him, but I respected him. Now, no longer. Don't forget about Sheffield in 2003.

    Right now I want Demster pitching at home. If it's game 2 or 3. I'll still take Sori over Lee, though Lee has really suprised me.

    The Brewers are going to have to replace their #1 and 2 starters. I doubt they will want to pay that for a closer. Not to mention the Gange debacle this season. Fielder is due a big raise and is already unhappy with the front office. There is already talk that outside of CC and Teixeria that contracts are expected to be lower this offseason.

    I loved Fuku stepping out of the box on the 3-2 count right the catcher went to the mound. Doumat (sp?) didn't seem happy and the pitch was nowhere close.

    When does the transfer window close? Hope he can see a lot of the same success Bradley saw last season.

    Marquis won't be the only started moved. I believe Lilly will also be dealt (Yankees, perhaps?). This way Shark replaces Marquis, and Hill or Marshall battles it out to replace Lilly. This would be a disaster waiting to happen. Why downgrade a very big strength for two very unknowns. Not to mention you have already weakened the pen by taking Samardzija out. If you want to let people battle for #5 that's fine, but not 4 and 5. There is zero reason to trade Lilly unless you resign Dempster and bring in CC.

    Brenly was talking about Kosuke talking with Lou about working on his swing, too. Apparently he shortened up his stride, but that one looked like Kosuke had a long stride. The stride looked long still, but his step seemed to be quicker.

    Just do what I do and stay pessimistic. It's more familiar, and not only will you not be surprised if the collapse comes, but you'll be pleasantly surprised if the crash never happens. Win/win. I'm just ignoring everything. I know about but I am pretending I don't.

    4/60 is too high. My guess would be around 3/36, and I do believe Hendry can get him for a discounted rate.

    with the money Arsenal made this summer they should go buy do Maria since Benfeca wants to sell him.

    Wow the ref just stops the game at the 31 minute mark to give both teams a water break. Should benefit Argentina as Nigeria has been applying a lot of pressure. Another great chance for Nigeria.

    Hopefully Nigeria can win an show the US we could have been their.

    I am Mott any close to being sold he will be good as a starter. I don't think Howry comes back so he will fill an important role in the pen with Marmol and Wood. He would need to pitch like a #3 starter to become more valuable than his role in the pen. This is similar to the moving Marmol to the rotation before the season started thread.
