  1. Somebody stop me before I go bankrupt.
  2. Que? Henry is talking to some white boys. And somebody with some very pale hands is being blocked by Angel's head (is that Guzman?)
  3. Which makes it harder to accept that at best he will be platooning with Cliff Floyd this upcoming season. I would say, at best (for him) he's going to get 500 PA, which is hardly a low figure.
  4. I'm actually annoyed with how easy it's been, I can get tickets but can't think of more I want to go to. I'm spending money for no reason.
  5. Cable never had Sunday Ticket.
  6. Clines did do some good things... wasn't he the one responsible for altering D-Lee's stance/approach to the plate that lead to his breakout 2005 season? Dusty and Clines didn't kill our OBP by ruining individual hitter's plate discipline. They killed it with their input on personnel selection. Their swing early swing often mantra certainly contributed to the problem. Dusty openly mocked patience and the value of walks.
  7. When were you in high school? 94-98 Oh yeah, bleacher seats have skyrocketed since 98. I used to get them easily, and cheaply in the mid 90's.
  8. It was actually easier for me this year than it was last time I tried, before 2005.
  9. they really are focusing their cameras on Soriano this year.
  10. And an expanding salary cap. It's going to be much higher in 2007 than it was in 2006 and 2005.
  11. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-070222bears,1,6045629.story?coll=cs-home-headlines With his playoff performance, maybe we can get a 2nd rounder for Jones. I'd be amazed if Thomas Jones fetched a 2nd rounder-the Colts couldn't even get a 2nd rounder for Edgerrin a couple years back, and neither could the Seahawks for Alexander. Maybe the market for runningbacks has changed dramatically since then, but I don't think so-it seems like there's even more teams with set runningbacks now then ever before. I doubt they'd get a second but stranger things have happened. The Jets gave a second for Doug fricken Jolly. And both NY teams want RB help.
  12. Oh dear god you're optimistic. :D Shhhhh :-$ You'll ruin my rep.
  13. Took a while, but I finally got what I wanted. Last year I didn't even try because I had very little hope for the ballclub.
  14. that always happens to me. I wait and wait and wait, then when I get through I'm thinking "am I really going to fly out for this weekend?"
  15. 8/4 vs mets bleachers or best available
  16. Anybody? Pretty please, with sugar on top. I have 4 8/4 Bleachers, willing to barter what do you want? goony's loaded, make him pay I haven't had a drink since last night.

  18. Anybody? Pretty please, with sugar on top.
  19. Prior's gonna havta beat DLee for CPOY. Can you think of a race you'd enjoy more? Prior and Zambrano for Cy Young. Lee, Ramirez and Soriano for MVP. Cubs for 1st seed in the NL.
  20. So if my Virtual Waiting room says there are NONE sold out, could that mean it's not updating properly?
  21. If somebody feels like being nice, June 30 or August 4 are the tix I'm looking for, bleachers or best available.
  22. But the description of Prior's stuff at thecubreporter.com wasn't a Muskat story. A Muskat story would create more skepticism than excitement.
  23. You gotta love the timing of this story with the ticket sales.
  24. Depends on why he had the bad spring (injury, couldn't locate his offspeed because it's AZ or what). I think he deserves quite some leeway after his second half last season. It would take an absolutely shocking meltdown this spring for me to even consider taking Hill out of the rotation. I mean like Rick Ankiel territory. Agreed-he's got a longer leash than spring training can break. A bad spring training would shorten that leash for the season, but I can't see him not making it out of spring for me at least. A "bad spring" is hard to define. Bad numbers by a pitcher don't really say much of anything in the very hitter friendly arizona spring. He'd have to have no command, and just look out of whack to think about pulling him. Even then I think you have to give him a couple starts in the regular season to prove he doesn't belong.
