  1. Hey Dude, don't worry. Dusty had a talk with Pierre, he's sure he's gonna come out of the funk. He was very attentive...
  2. Good lord, there's our great 1-2 punch. I'm sure the Astros are shakin' in their boots.
  3. I remember Milt Pappas' perfect game (and it really WAS perfect, dangit!) My mom and I were watching it, and screaming at stupid Froemming...
  4. Good god, I'm old! :D I remember all of that and then some....
  5. I was in section 102, so maybe we crossed paths. omigod, we probably did!
  6. Neifi is going to get a fluke hit here. Nah, he did that last night...
  7. I just got back from a great weekend in Cincy...and an incredible game last night with Z pitching! Friday night I had dinner at the Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse, and heard the fireworks going off at GAB...and I thought, uh-oh, Maddux is getting shelled. Got back to my hotel room (the Millineum, which was a nice short 15 minute walk from the ballpark) and saw that the Cubs won his start. The next night was my game! I wish the weather had been nicer, as it rained all day long (spent the bulk of the rainy day at the Newport Aquarium...not as nice as the Shedd, but not bad) I was sitting in the lower deck left field area, in section 103, which HAD to have been designated for Cubs fans! I was surrounded by them..and it was GREAT! We were treated to a great game of Carlos ball, and I even got to see Juan Pierre and Neifury get hits. And the best at bat was by Walker in the 7th to load the bases. When Yan came in, I thought to myself, he's terrible, and Barrett is likely to get ahold of one. Well, there it went, and Barrett's homerun hit the wall RIGHT above us in the seats! We were going wild, and drowning out any Reds fans who happened to be around us. Even in the rain, the game was enjoyable. And the park itself is great, not a bad seat in the house. I knew Rocket was at the game, and I looked for him, but alas, nowhere to be seen! Great weekend, and I must say, the Cincy fans were great, too.
  8. Crap! Earlier this week, I swear I saw Z slated to pitch tonight! I'm going to Cincy for the game tonight, and I was all excited. Darn.........  Ohmigosh, I thought today was Saturday!
  9. Well, guys, I'm going to go out and drown my sorrows in some bourbon. Heading to Cincy tomorrow to see Z! :D
  10. Jeez.....Freel with a homerun. :x
  11. What makes Dusty think that Pierre will come out of this??? you know, there comes a point where you just have to cut your losses... :x
  12. Dusty likes JP because he is "attentive"
  13. Anyone see that commercial Arroyo made?? %@$#$&!
  14. Jeez...tip your cap to some scrub who was out of baseball for years? Good lord.....get a grip, Len
  15. Exactly. No point in rushing him back. This season is already in the toilet. He should take his time coming back. No, no, you're wrong! Lee comes back, and Pierre will magically become a great leadoff hitter, everyone will get hits with RISP, Kerry Wood will be cured, Mark Prior will regain his old form, and we'll make the playoffs! Model airplane glue is a wonderful thing. So is bourbon!
