    Walker started, Neifi pinch-hit for Ohman in the sixth, who was in the No. 6 spot due to Dusty double switching Ohman and Pagan. Neifi stayed in the game. When Williamson could throw strikes Dusty double-switched again, took Ronnie out, slid Neifi over to short and put Hairston in at second. I think Dusty has managed a good game today. I don't think I've ever seen that sentence before...

    Bullpen pitchers are hard to gauge. It's one of the most unpredictable things in baseball. Hendry has tried to go after solid bullpen people in the past, and it just didn't work out. You'd be hard-pressed to find people that were against the Hawkins or Remlinger signings at the time, as a few examples. And they would have fared better had Dusty used them according to their strengths.

    Good God Almighty. Translated to "he sucks, but because he's a veteran, he automatically gets a spot." Jeesh.........and people doubt that Baker prefers old washed up vets over young 'uns??? Give me a break.

    It doesn't have to be the stated position for people who have paid attention to Dusty and his moves to draw a reasonable conclusion. And nobody said "do nothing". He has to look like he can play. He doesn't have to prove that he can play well, he just has to look like he can. He is going to make the club, that is almost a certainty. Bruce Miles also said that yesterday, without the "almost"

    :x Ouch. Good. I'm sick of her wasting our time with that desperate quest for a gold. The Peyton Manning of women's figure skating, to be sure. That's an awful thing to say. Michelle Kwan has been one of the most gracious sports figure I can remember. She has carried herself with grace and dignity her entire career. "Wasting our time for that desperate quest for a gold?" What's that supposed to mean?

    I don't know what kind of footwear he had on. But if you watch the replay, the injury was not the result of a tackle. His foot got caught in the grass, turned, and the injury resulted.
