    I'm inclined to agree with you but what grievance could he file? He's no longer injured. I could easily imagine the Player's Association having a problem with them releasing him immediately after he took the 72 hours he was technically allowed by the CBA. His $2M is guaranteed whether he plays or not. Releasing him could end up netting him more money if he signs elsewhere.

    Had crzay BABIP's at all levels and had k% above 20% at both A levels he was at including it going up by 5% with a promotion. I understand your point, but....that sentence.....headache gave me it did.

    Ugh...Saunders has struck out 26 times in 76 AB's (34%). By way of comparison, Brett Jackson has struck out in 24 of 64 AB's (38%).

    It should be mentioned too that 8 DCubs have struck out through 7 so some credit should be given to the St. Lucie staff.

    Take Jackson and Lake off the DL and it looks better. Very true. Loux and Vizcaino too. Does anyone have any information on when we could expect Vizcaino pitch?

    I just don't think he'll ever be passable at 3B and his bat won't be great enough to make up for being bad there. Agreed. I suspect he gets dealt as part of a deadline deal and settles in at 1B or LF for another organization.

    I do think Vitters is going to be traded but I still hold out hold out hope that he can become a starter caliber player for the 2014 Cubs.

    According to the twitter feed on CCO, Stewart has yet to report to Iowa since the "demotion" and hasn't been seen since Friday. I wonder if the FO has finally cut bait and is going to stick with Valbuena/Ransom.

    Where in the NW burbs do you live, McHenry Cnty? I live in McHenry and I somewhat agree with TT. Getting to games in Rosemont (or Schaumburg) would be a lot easier for me. The Kennedy is terrible and once you finally get off that gameday trainwreck you have to deal with the awful traffic on Addison. Rosemont has better access to a couple highways but the congestion around the park would still be horrible. And then there are the planes.....the proposed location is right next to the airport and under a runway. It's not good. To me Rosemont is all about leverage and using that now is easily several months too late.

    I love the changes to Wrigley and can't wait for it to be finished. The "move" threat to me seemed to be made out of some level of frustration. It should have been made months/years ago. Did anyone notice that Rosemont Mayor Stevenson was in the audience? Screw the rooftop owners. This needs to move forward now.

    I can't find anything about the anticipated return of Lake, Almora and Vitters. Anyone? I thought the initial reports about Almora was that he would miss 6 weeks and would mean he's back next week.

    Other than the first two pitches to the last hitter in the 9th, Marmol looked MUCH better. Velocity was in the lower 90's with the FB. His slider had the sharp downward break again.

    I can't say that I am at all hopeful for Maples. Terrible start to his career. I hope he turns into something but he was a reach.

    any replay you are dying to see will not be shown on the jumbotron. Do you people think it's like some giant personalized RedZone channel or something? Have you ever actually seen a jumbotron in use at a stadium? How dare you deny the paying public such gems as bad dancing and kiss cam. People have been waiting for years to know the words to take me out to the ballgame. Need a jumbotron if you want to take the 7th inning stretch to the next level. Or the lyrics to "Go Cubs Go".
