    Sounds good to me, except for the part about Monroe. Though I saw someone said this in another thread: isn't that dude about due for a 5-5, 3HR game or something? There has to be some return to his statistical norm soon. Doesn't there? In other news, I will be missing most of this one on account of a "business dinner." Leave it to me to grouse about getting a free dinner. :) But I'd much rather be parked in front of the tube.

    I just wanted to say that Skip Caray is absolutely terrible. Stuck in office right now (I know, it sucks) and listening on Gameday Audio. You would think every fly ball is the longest HR ever when it leaves the bat.

    It's crazy. Football is such an afterthought for me right now. I almost forget the Bears are the national game tonight.

    Had about 30 windows open, but no luck. A question for you all though. After about seven windows, it condenses them (rather than making them really small across the bottom) into a vertical scroll list of browsers. They all said "Virtual Waiting Room." If you get through, will the title of that browser in the vertical list change to something else? Am I making any sense at all? I was scrolling through all of them constantly, but I wondered if I had to do that or if I could just keep the list up and see if they changed. Thanks.

    That was beautiful. And the Cub fans at the game was nice too. I'd like to see more than a few Cub jerseys in the stands at Miller Park on Monday. Firing up Steve Goodman on the itunes...for the second time today!

    It's probably because it's a noon start so should be over by the time the national game starts at 3. I don't think that's it. I looked at this last year. FOX's contract allows them the exclusive TV rights for all games starting before 6pm on Saturdays. Obviously there is some loophole that allows WGN to show the games. Perhaps it is that it's considered a local broadcast, which just happens to be on a superstation. Because, you know, all the local channels are still allowed to show their own Saturday afternoon games, of course. That's my best guess. Nevermind all that. Rich, we need you today pal. We have a fantastic chance to shave two off the magic number today. Don't blow it.

    Hopefully it won't be at all. But I sort of don't think that will be the case. It could never be that easy with this group. And the Brewers get the carcass of the World Champs early next week.
