4-game suspension for that sucker punch. Well deserved. i wish he'd gotten more. 50 or 60 (however many games we have left) would have been fine. I read somewhere this morning (TSN, I think) that Laviolette is of the same mind.

Which is tragic if true. If anyone who makes decisions for this ridiculous franchise saw ANYTHING yesterday that made them think Lovie/Turner/Toub/Angelo should stay, I'd like to know what it was. And then I'd like five minutes alone with them and a lead pipe.

Hell, I love college football as much as they come and I didn't even get it until like 2 years ago. And if you do "get it," you get that Iowa might have made a BCS bowl only because it "travels well." That tells you right there the system is a crock. Though KU did make the Orange Bowl a few years ago because it was thought they would travel better than Mizzou. Which was true. :)

That's the problem with the bowl system. Sure, the games are a boon for the schools and the alums have fun going and TV money flows in, but all but one of the games are absolutely meaningless.

I think the bowls get to pick in cooperation with each other. I think that's how it works. Iowa/Georgia Tech in the Who Gives a [expletive] Bowl.
