  1. [expletive] yeah! One more first down. Well, maybe two.
  2. People say the Bears have been a lucky team this year. Nobody's been luckier than the Jets. They can't have another last-second win in them. But still very nervous.
  3. What a punt. Okay, we got a mulligan on this deep-in-own-territory drive thing.
  4. You know that was going to happen...
  5. What a terrible set of downs.
  6. Heart just about stopped there.
  7. i disagree, he's most identified with the blackhawks. he actually played longer in detoit i think and had more success in both montreal and detroit. but he's a chicago boy. this isn't like the idiot avalanche retiring ray bourque's number. And no, it's not like what Colorado did. That's an embarassment.
  8. not quite the same, but I think it is similar to how the Cubs treat Greg Maddux. I don't recall the circumstances of Chelios leaving, but how would we feel about Maddux if he went to the Cardinals and won a handful of championships instead of ATL? The booing wasn't because Chelios left, but because of where he went and what he accomplished there. I thought it was funny. I wouldn't have booed, but I'm sympathetic to those who did.
  9. That is just awful awful awful*. I see no good reason to attend. *sorry about that morbid comment I'm sure they can bring in those big ice tubs and fill them with man cans. [expletive], they won't even need ice. All is not lost.
  10. this X 1,000,000,000
  11. 5%? A street free agent won't beat out Webb. I think it will be at TCF and Brett will play. Yeah, it's sounding like Brett's going to play. He can't lose his final MNF game, right? Dunno, the man doesn't have a track record of finishing a portion of his career on top, considering in 2 of his 3 last games with a team he threw a pick to lose the NFC championship, and in the other he threw a pick to knock his team out of the playoffs. I think there's a considerable difference between a meaningless Week 15 game for him and two of the last three NFC title games. The problem is, he's a pretty bad QB as of right now. He can't be any worse than what we saw last night from Jackson, though. I'd be pretty surprised if Favre plays. I guess he's got one more chance to go out in glory on national TV, but the chances of that happening are pretty slim, even against our sometimes-good, sometimes-awful defense.
  12. Of course. I don't think Haugh was implying anything else. And that is the terrible thing about the success this year -- doomed to more in-game idiocy by Lovie and draft idiocy by Angelo. I think he was implying more. He was saying people should stop worrying about the Patriots disaster and be happy with where they are. He was implying that criticism of Lovie and Jerry is unfair if they do make the playoffs and that making the playoffs this year is a tremendous accomplishment for these two despite the fact that the only reason it wasn't a foregone conclusion is their own failures that led this team to three years of mediocrity. That's what I get for just reading the quote. If he said what you are saying he said (still not going to go read the article), then yes, he needs to shut the hell up.

  14. That was tough. Captures his spirit perfectly though.
  15. Trading Sharp would be a massive mistake, and so would trading Seabrook. Massive overreaction. Completely disagree. Keeping Sharp may have been a good idea when there were high hopes to win against in 2010/2011. But keeping him longterm is impossible and he is their best trade chip. It's not an overreaction, it's something I was interested in doing this offseason. If you can get a haul for those two, I think you do it. I just think it's a bit early to write off this season.

  17. Let's not get carried away. This happened to the Pens a few years ago too. Yeah, I'm disappointed that so many guys are mailing it in. But I think this is part of the process of learning how to win long-term with such a young team.
  18. Say goodnight, Marty. Bad defense, failure to clear the zone. But still, he's got to be better than that.
  19. Was that really necessary? I mean, the place will be half-full of Lions fans, but let's bother to paint their logo on the field. That will make them feel as home. Just seems dumb.
  20. Selfishly, St. Louis would be a sweet location for the game. But I'm sure they'll do everything they can to play it up there.
  21. Short pass and the Pats stripped the ball from Knox. The ball came out and they returned it for a TD. You can always listen online at WBBM News 780. Thanks, about to board, but even so wouldn't bother now.
  22. Knox fumbled around the tmie his butt hit the grass, returned for a TD. being challenged Thx. What a disaster.
  23. Going to be terrible. I thought the heating coils would keep the snow from accumulating, but I guess not. Brady is 9-0 in the snow. Kujay are you using a laptop? Go to atdhe.net. Yep thanks just thought of that. And it's not working. Great. The internet service isn't very fast here.
