  1. I think Boston will be just fine with these two minutes coming off the clock. And that's sort of how they are treating this PP.
  2. Marchand just flew down the ice to stop that icing call. What hustle. I thought Vancouver would come out with something here.
  3. I'm not usually one who enjoys reading opposing boards, but this is some gold: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?s=bc1bd3810bac09ebeb81477c86b5d7f4&t=926112&page=32
  4. Once again, Eddie talking directly out of his ass.
  5. Holy crap boys.
  6. I have no idea what Eddie was looking at, the puck was past them when he did that. Higgins knew exactly where he was and was trying to knock Chara out of the game. Exactly. I have to say, I haven't agreed Eddie several times in this series. It almost seems like he's being contrarian just for the hell of it a lot of the time. Didn't think there were going to be any penalty calls. This is just about as close to a must-score PP as you'll ever see.
  7. Oh Bobby, you had it son! This [expletive] is gettin' real for Vancouver right now.
  8. Entertaining game. Feel nervous not like watching the Hawks last year, but I sort of tense up every time the Canucks are attacking. I can't imagine they will get shut out. I think Boston needs three to win this game.
  9. If that was an "innocent play," as Eddie said, why did Higgins jump and put his elbow into Chara's head?
  10. I'm sure he thinks it was. But I'd bet most goalies think in the moment that all goals are their fault.
  11. No kidding. Though I don't really blame that one on Luongo.
  12. Love Boston's start. Playing much more physical than they did in Game 5. But Vancouver just had the best chance so far.
  13. Game 7 for it all. Can't wait for the game tonight and it's really not because of the rooting interest I've developed over the course of the series. Today should be a holiday, says the inner Canadian in me.
  14. Boston fans are not just the 35,000 who showed up to Fenway the day you were there. Their numbers have grown exponentially the past decade, and with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and now potentially the Bruins, they have grown into the most insufferable bunch of crap talking douchebags. I was not only at Fenway for a couple of games, but I was all over the city for several days before the series started. Maybe I just got lucky with my experience in the city for a week. I don't care about their fans. The idea of the names "Burrows" and "Sedin" going on the cup next to Toews and Ben Eager just ain't right. Ben Eager? The player who would rather make a meaningless hit then be in good position because he feels like some teammate was looked at funny? Of all the Hawks players you could of picked you lost me with that one. At least the Sedins and Burrows are good hockey players. Oh, where is your sense of humor, friend. But let's not forget the huge wrister he roofed over Leighton or Boucher or whichever crap goalie they had in there in Game 2. Huge goal.
  15. I don't care about any of that. But I will celebrate just a little every year he doesn't win a championship.

  17. Yeah this is as much Boston's fault as anything, but pretty funny just the same. There's nothing better than a Game 7 in the SCF. So glad we didn't have one last year, but can't wait for Wednesday night.
  18. What a save by Thomas on that wraparound. Pay attention, Bobby Lu.
  19. Boston is due for a win in Vancouver. The games in Boston haven't even been close. Insane.
  20. For me, them blowing this would be just as awesome as what happened last night. And another goal. HAHAHAHAHA!
  21. What a shitty angle by Luongo. Great shot though.
  22. Doc just seemed to get a subtle shot in at Luongo when talking about Thomas -- "graceful in victory and defeat" -- or something like that. Nice.
  23. God I don't feel like working today. Interesting comments from The Rat: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/ct-spt-0612-blackhawks-dave-bolland-c20110611,0,3811045.story In particular:
  24. This is my favorite non-Chicago sports team moment since Peyton Manning tossed the pick-6 to Tracy Porter. Pretty much. EDIT: Although the sinking liner to Holliday's balls in last year's playoffs was pretty sweet too.
