  1. Oh yeah I put that one out of my head.
  2. Short of Scottie's famous walkover of Ewing (which I was at and count with the greatest moments of my life), Gibson's dunk over Wade is the best I can recall.
  3. I can't be the first person to say this, but Asik reminds of a giant Judge Reinhold. And he can ball.
  4. I think Vancouver. They have the big named goalie, they are the top seed and I think several of their top dmen are free agents Agreed. Still more pressure on Vancouver. Mostly because they play in Vancouver, and not California.
  5. That's hysterical.
  6. No question. They were horrible.
  7. I don't get how you can be a Heat fan and not feel a little dirty. The only thing I hate more than Miami is Craig Sager. What a hoosier.
  8. I turned away from the SJ/DET game last night to watch the Bulls, and it was 1-0 with maybe 12:00 left. By the time I got back to it they were just burying an EN to make it 3-1. WTF? Come on San Jose, don't do this. A VAN-DET conference final is almost as bad as a Cards/White Sox World Series.
  9. Glad I didn't hand over the $65 for what, by all accounts, was a snoozefest. Floyd needs to stop being a bitch and make this fight. But at least if Pac fights JMM this fall, you know there won't be a repeat of Mosley's performance. Marquez is too proud for that.
  10. Sort of a no-brainer, but awesome that they are actually doing it. Now it's up to you, TNT.
  11. I can root for them just fine when they are playing Vancouver. Because, really, as long as Vancouver doesn't win the cup or even get close, we still sort of own them.
  12. The problem is, he only does that once every 4-5 games, and he actually scores on those rushes even less frequently. As someone said last night in the game thread, the guy's hands on are par in Jon Scott's.
  13. I think they were gassed, the long break is going to do them good. They were gassed, and I was thinking about that this morning. Last year guys like Toews, Kane, Keith, Seabrook played a ton more hockey. Regular season, Olympics and all the way through the playoffs. At any time during that series with Philly (or any time during the playoffs at all) was it as obvious that they were out of steam as it was last night? What's that go back to? Conditioning. And it reminds me of those really honest quotes Keith gave a few weeks ago about how he wasn't as focused last summer and during the season. Basically admitting to a Cup hangover. Did he not work as hard to prepare himself for the long season? It's easy for me to say from my couch, but I think it's a fair question.
  14. Yeah, it pains me to say it, but since Nashville doesn't have much of a chance, I'm going with SJ to come out of the west and rooting for Montreal to win it all.
  15. Hammer definitely has value. But he's one of those guys whose value is harder to quantify. He won't score -- but he's a good PK guy, blocks shots, relatively steady with the puck in his own zone. I like him -- though I won't be heartbroken if he goes. Kopecky can be on his way. PF, you summarized his time with the Hawks perfectly. Who is he? He's not overly gifted with the puck, but has a knack for scoring big goals. But he's not overly speedy and not the greatest two-way player. I guess if the price is right, bring him back. Smith and Leddy give me hope. And Crawford, of course.
  16. The end of every Hawks season sucks. Now what? The [expletive] Cubs? Jay Cutler drama? F U sports.
  17. How funny would it be for them to get through the Hawk and lose to Nashville. Heh.
  18. He's a decent #5 defenseman, but yeah, that's inexcusable.
  19. Sharp will wake up in a sweat over missing all that open net. That was it.
  20. Thanks Campoli. Thanks for nothing buddy.
  21. And slowly VAN is taking over again.
