  1. Isn't the White Sox set back to back 2 gamers? Yes
  2. in 2003, i made myself a FREE HEE SEOP tshirt to protest his limited at bats. i had to stop wearing it because people on the street kept stopping me to ask about who this hee seop guy was and who was oppressing him, only to be deeply disappointed when i sheepishly replied that he was a baseball player that i wanted to see play more. I was at the game when Choi hit his head and had to be carried off on a stretcher. It was Cubs v Yankees - wood v Clemens with Clemens going for #300. Cubs ended up coming back and winning. Fun times...
  3. It was the Wed game against the D-Bags when the wheels fell off, so that's 5 days I guess
  4. Good, if the Cubs sign him, I can break out my Cubs "Pro Choi" t-shirt
  5. He's been pounding the ball lately, good to see one finally go
  6. Johnny B coming through The last time this will be written
  7. Don't get your hopes up. One would think they'd try to improve this year. I was optimistic that they'd be better this but I'm not any longer. I know this isn't right considering the Cubs have been popular forever and haven't won in a century, but I start to wonder if another horrid year, coupled with another horrid two months next year, would start to have a huge impact on the fan base coming out to games. Like, a very noticeable one. Not just the expected decrease. I don't even know what I'm talking about. I hate the Brewers. I hate that the Cubs are so bad. I hate that the Brewers get to beat up on the Cubs 19 times a year and we just have to sit back and watch it happen. What do you consider a "noticeable" decline? This year we will finish off our dropoff of 1 million plus fans since 08(and possiby 1M since 09) When the season ticket wait list is whittling away and the FO starts [expletive] their pants. Until then, the drop in attendance will be from the walk ups and single game ticket purchasers
  8. Somebody tell Jed/Theo the Cubs only get 1 1st round pick (not 2) no matter how bad the record
  9. A team can rebuild without sucking this badly for 3 years in a row. As far as improvement next year, yeah I mean every season we think next year has to be better. At this rate, it isn't getting there. And given the ongoing delays with the renovations at Wrigley I think that timeline for attempting to be competitive is just being pushed back further and further. Like I said in my previous post, for whatever reason, I was fine with it the last two seasons. There was some crap we had to do to get this organization going in the right direction. But to almost feel like we suck even worse now than we did then is just not acceptable. It's b/c the FO is obsessed with draft picks and that they are choosing to not be successful in the big FA market. This tells me it's a financial thing and the purse strings are really tight due to ownerships debt structure. Either way, it sucks to be a Cubs fan today more so than any time in history, as crazy as that sounds.
  10. 2-3-4 coming up...let's steal one from these bastards
  11. Wow...they just showed footage of Segee getting hit in the face - damn that must've hurt!
  12. There's very little to be excited about - and that my friends, sucks

  15. Sloppy isn't the word...what is the word?
