    Theo either needs to get a solid package in return, or just pay the man. There can't be any of this "disappointed with what we got back" stuff. He doesn't want to re-sign with us. He'd do well to keep all his options open, including re-signing with the Cubs. How he feels right now is one thing, but let's see what happens when it comes down to it. I'm not saying you're wrong, or that he's going to re-sign with the Cubs, but it's early yet. Players used to be open to re-signing or signing as a FA with the Cubs back in the Trib days bc they knew the Cubs overpay at some point. This is no longer the case. Sharks not signing an extension with the Cubs.
