Listen to the parade of sad sack callers on this show is infuriating; I honestly think Theo and co. were completely aware that most Chicago sports fans are miserable masochists who think they deserve and need to have the worst possible teams before anything can happen. How many more dumb fucks are going to call in bemoaning the Bears as a spot nobody will want to run as a coach or a GM, or convinced that the Bears have to "blow it all up" and be horrible for a couple seasons? One guy even just compared it favorably to the Cubs, like that's the right/only way to fix a bad team! Go [expletive] yourselves, Chicago sports fans. I hate your stupid guts and I hope you die.

This amount of unnecessary detail makes me feel like I'm interviewing a witness on Law & Order.

ALL of the Cubs chatter has gone silent. *Fidgets nervously*

To me, "just wait a few months before committing to a long term LF" is a bit more reasonable than "just trade Myers if Bryant can't play 3B". Conversely you could just call Bryant an OF now and meet your future today, but that's less sexy because it lowers Bryant's value a tad and there aren't a ton of good 3B options that aren't already Cubs. It's just slightly bothersome to effectively have two nebulous positions when were dancing around the whole "do they go for it this year or not." If Myers can be had for a smart deal and think he's going to bounce back I'd like to think they'd do it. I'd just prefer something more long term as opposed to another rental, especially since I look at Soler as the only real OF answer they have right now (No, I'm not all that sold on Al Contra).

Wait, we have to keep two positions open for Bryant? That's ridiculous. If he pans out offensively and has to move to LF because he's a butcher at 3B then you just trade Myers.

    Stress fracture; didn't require surgery.

uh, can we jump in on that? Unless they'd take Baez, I don't know if it would make sense for us. Uhhhhh, why the hell not?

I'm going for fun bad. We've been wallowing in that for a while. I'd settle for guys we need to be good next year not looking like complete dog [expletive].

I'm rooting for a couple non-embarrassing losses if Trestman's fate is already sealed.

That commercial bugs me because the woman on the left's grotesquely long arms. She looks like a Doctor Who monster.

The other 3 need to make themselves known so they can be publicly shamed and then cast out into the wilderness.

All I remember is that it was Rocky Cherry and someone else, and I was only sad to see Cherry go because of the name.

Hockey still sucks, but this is pretty great: http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/24894729/video-blues-barret-jackman-makes-new-friend-from-penalty-box

7 hours is considered the adult ideal. 10 hours is considered ideal for teens/pre-teens, I believe.

"Back?" He's working with Baez: http://www.csnchicago.com/cubs/cubs-manny-ramirezs-impact-javier-baez-extends-offseason

Well, damn. That's a lot less exciting than I was hoping for.

How does one guy who isn't someone like, say, Trout improve odds like that so dramatically? Are they assuming it signals the Cubs making other significant moves?
  22. Sammy Sofa
    Oh, it was earned.

His refusal to do fluff pieces about his charity stuff is one of the reasons a lot of media guys don't like him.
