  1. I'm rooting for a couple non-embarrassing losses if Trestman's fate is already sealed.
  2. That commercial bugs me because the woman on the left's grotesquely long arms. She looks like a Doctor Who monster.

  4. The other 3 need to make themselves known so they can be publicly shamed and then cast out into the wilderness.
  5. All I remember is that it was Rocky Cherry and someone else, and I was only sad to see Cherry go because of the name.
  6. Hockey still sucks, but this is pretty great: http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/24894729/video-blues-barret-jackman-makes-new-friend-from-penalty-box
  7. Scarily, I always remember that without any hesitation.
  8. 7 hours is considered the adult ideal. 10 hours is considered ideal for teens/pre-teens, I believe.
  9. "Back?" He's working with Baez: http://www.csnchicago.com/cubs/cubs-manny-ramirezs-impact-javier-baez-extends-offseason
  10. Well, damn. That's a lot less exciting than I was hoping for.
  11. How does one guy who isn't someone like, say, Trout improve odds like that so dramatically? Are they assuming it signals the Cubs making other significant moves?
  12. Oh, it was earned.
  13. His refusal to do fluff pieces about his charity stuff is one of the reasons a lot of media guys don't like him.
  14. I kept thinking this: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=3d0_1409778028

  16. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...no.
  17. No, I refuse to give anyone credit for having a good year on this team. Literally everyone has sucked.
  18. I'm calling shenanigans on football stats because you can say the same thing about Cutler.
  19. Everyone needs to shut up Yeah, Black Unicorn trying to deflect attention from his own [expletive] season. Am I missing something? I know he has some maddening things he does but he's had a pretty kick ass season statistically speaking. Uh, yeah you've missed the entire season if you think his has been kickass. He's had some ugly Dropsy McDropalot games this year, too.
  20. Everyone needs to shut up Yeah, Black Unicorn trying to deflect attention from his own shitty season.
  21. Obviously most Cubs fans don't even hate the 2004 team, much less them being the "second most hated Chicago team in recent history." If thinking that makes me an even bigger dick than usual, meh.
  22. It's a funny article from a funny site. Presenting it seriously made me crack a smile, that's all.
  23. Alright, NOW you've made my night.
  24. I think I mentioned the expectations vs how it ended. That's a big part of it. No one is mad if Hector Rondon blows a save in a 90 loss season but when a team with WS aspirations blows a save with a Kearns HR after your ace struck out 16 guys in 9 innings and gave up only 1 run and then the players respond by calling to complain that the announcers are being too critical of them it lays the seeds of a hate able team No. You're flat out wrong on this. Why wouldn't people also hate the 2007 and 2008 teams? And if WS aspirations being dashed is the gold standard then 2003 would blow everyone else away. Except those teams were actually awesome and we're not bizarre weirdos holding grudges like spiteful middle school mean girls.
  25. You can have a laundry list of "hatable" things from every season; the only things exceptional from that one are the collapse and Sosa's exit, and the former isn't really that hate-worthy since it's not this team doesn't have a ridiculous history of failure. Clearly this is a bonkers thing you've been walking around with. Christ, if we went by your standards then nobody would like the Cubs because every season is more hateable than the last outside of, like, twenty of them.
