To me, "just wait a few months before committing to a long term LF" is a bit more reasonable than "just trade Myers if Bryant can't play 3B". Conversely you could just call Bryant an OF now and meet your future today, but that's less sexy because it lowers Bryant's value a tad and there aren't a ton of good 3B options that aren't already Cubs. It's just slightly bothersome to effectively have two nebulous positions when were dancing around the whole "do they go for it this year or not." If Myers can be had for a smart deal and think he's going to bounce back I'd like to think they'd do it. I'd just prefer something more long term as opposed to another rental, especially since I look at Soler as the only real OF answer they have right now (No, I'm not all that sold on Al Contra).
