Might want to check your math there. Well this seems completely sensible. -
I'm just now getting up. Drank myself to sleep last night. It was pathetic. Last night was so cruel. I hate caring about the Cubs. lmao you were serious about the vodka shots? very serious. I literally haven't had any hard liquor in months before last night. I knew that the loss was going to effect my sleep so I found a bottle that was like 1/4th full in the back of a cabinet. Didn't have any OJ so I went with shots. Since I'm not a big drinker and don't have any shot glasses I used the measuring cup from a DayQuil. Chased each shot with a swig of Sierra Mist. It was really sad. Now I have a headache. :banghead: http://myreactiongifs.com/gifs/keyandpeeleno.gif

I am assuming/hoping that it will turn into some kind of brutal fight trench.

I don't know if Butler was spent so much as he was just hurting from landing on LeBron's foot.
-
Have there been any Ramirez sightings?

I thought neely vanished almost a year ago. Weird. Maybe he got some meds.
-
neely had some rage issues; this guy seems much more mellow.

Addison Russell is awesome and deserves a thread

Maybe it would be less frustrating if you just looked at them as a usually well run baseball organization instead of acting like they have some kind of baseball genie hidden in the depths of the stadium. Walt [expletive] Jocketty looked like a genius when he was running them And? He did a good job. Having a 13th round pick blossom into a generational talent had a lot to do with his success. Obviously, but it's just silly at a certain point to just keep chalking it up to luck. They've got a good organization that spots and develops talent well and signs well and coaches well. They're the Packers of the MLB.
-
Same here. Just going to enjoy the ride. If they make the playoffs, hey, great, that's some delicious cake. If not, not really a big deal barring it being because of some kind of disaster.

I think he just means we'll have better, even more playoff-ey teams over the next 5 years. Right; it wouldn't be surprising at all if this team made the playoffs, but I'm not really expecting them to, if that makes any sense. But they're still going to be plenty fun to watch this year; I think you're going to see some Astros-type stretches in them.
-
This year is not a mulligan. We have a playoff team. Maybe. The starting rotation could easily be pretty unimpressive for long stretches, and they're relying on a lot of young and/or experienced players to carry this team offensively. There's going to be a lot of up and downs and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them miss the playoffs again. Next year is when these kind of losses are going to start driving me nuts again.
-
Meh; this was still a lot of fun. Lots of good stuff to take away from it. I don't really care if Travis Wood or sentient meatbags in the bullpen look bad.
-
Ahhhh, it happens. Next year is when [expletive] starts for real; this one is still a mulligan. I just want to see the right guys trending in the right direction over the season.
-
I don't know what to tell you; United Center crowds are notorious for how quiet they are.
-
Addison donging it up. BRB; need to change my WC pick.

Yeah, Bulls fans are basically the epitome of terrified Chicago fans; I don't know what David is talking about. ina town with cubs fans and bears fans, i have no idea how you can say that we won 6 championships. the bulls are the only team i don't visualize the most improbable terrible things happening even in the best situations with and they're the only team i ever had the feeling of not doubting that they'd ultimately prevail. The Bears games are full of stupid arrogance and wild abandon until [expletive] actually goes wrong and then everyone turns surly. The 6 championships don't mean [expletive] to anyone these days; long years of irrelevance and (especially) Rose's chronic neeitis has turned the crowds into timidly stressed out little dumplings.

Hey, a double play!

That guy is a hero. Also: nice shorts, Cardinals' staff. Roast's fannypack looks dignified by comparison.
-
it wouldn't kill us, but i do honestly believe it would completely cease to be fun during the games. basically they all have to be 03 nlcs games 2 and 4 for that not to be the case Big Chicago games mostly suck; the home fans always seem terrified of everything going wrong and everything is insanely nervous and tense and not fun at all. Though I can't speak for hockey fans; those animals are probably [expletive] in the seats and drinking paint thinner.

Starlin Castro turned in to Juan Pierre so slowly I didn't even notice it happened. I keed, I keed.

The Golden Fedora GROSS, NO.
