BAD NEWS, BROS; VINCE CAN'T SEE THE MOVIE. -
OHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. *Jumps in front of a bus*
-
He just kinda drunkenly fell into catching that ball.
-
Bah.
-
Come on, Addison.
-
Hendricks, you sly dog.
-
http://i.imgur.com/85EvwJg.gif When he tussles up that terrible, terrible haircut...mmmmm.

I find Bryce Harper to be very attractive, even though I know I shouldn't.
-
Soler or (shockingly) Coghlan make more sense hitting #4 right now. Russell is coming along slowly but surely, but he still struggles plenty. Over the last week: .150 .190 .300 .490 The last 2 weeks: .205 .295 .333 .629 And he's got about a .250 BABIP in that time.

I mean, really, Rizzo isn't seeing as many strikes because he's just dominating the plate right now. Teams are avoiding him at times. You really think they wouldn't do that if he had Soler or Coglhlan or Montero hitting after him regularly? "Oh, gee, I was all worried about pitching to Rizzo, but now that *GULP* MIGUEL MONTERO is hitting behind him I have no choice but to pitch him more strikes."
-
lol Do you not grasp the notion that seeing fewer strikes than any hitter in baseball might impact a hitter's production? Protection's not a thing.
-
Sexy D tonight.

I'm trying to figure out what their thought process is behind leaving Castro there. It would seem like hitting after Bryant and Rizzo would just make him press even more.
-
Probably pretty much the same, maybe minus a few walks.
-
Christ, get Castro out of #4 spot.
-
Looks like he stole his wig from Arrested Development.
-
I pick us I don't think NSBB really has the farm system to keep up.
-
Damn, Castro just saved a run there.
-
Great diving stop to grab what looked like a hit to center and then a bullet throw back to Rizzo.
-
Damn, Rizzo makes a pretty tough scoop look like no problem.
-
Bueno.
-
Addison, that was delightful.

Fun with small (but not too small) sample WAR
Sammy Sofa replied to David's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
Yeah, he's kind of all over the place. It's not a disastrous season or anything for him, but personally I was really hoping for him to be a monster. I really expected that 162 game projection to be what he already had at this point in the season. -
Given the nature of his bad season and how he bounced back the next year it was a pretty safe bet that he'd at least be a 2 WAR player this season. We get it; you've repeatedly made it clear you never thought much of Castro in all those years you didn't follow baseball.
