    There's only 3 reasons I could see them going with Lester instead: He pitches out of his mind the rest of the season and is actually better than Arrieta. Arrieta is injured. Arrieta pitches like ass the rest of the season. Otherwise, if things continue mostly unchanged then there's zero chance they don't go with Arrieta. Why would they have to go with Lester because of his salary? What's he going to do, refuse to play if he doesn't get the start?

    Yes, that would be a complete disaster. I may hate myself for bringing this up, but Schwarber / Bryant / Soler in the OF with Coghlan at 3B might be slightly less of a disaster. When they bring up Baez I say Coghlan/Fowler platooning their AB's with Bryant in LF when Coghlan is on the bench and then Bryant in CF when Fowler is off. Move Castro to 2B, Russell to SS and put Baez at 3B. I don't think they bring up Schwarber before September.
