I didn't get it either. The ball was clearly behind him. Any attempt to slow his path to second would have yielded the same result. Not his fault the ball took a [expletive] bounce. Exactly. As soon as they showed the replay it was obvious the ball took a crazy high hop and basically 99% of the time he would have jumped right over of it.

I dunno, but I wish Lester had had a better season... and better flipping RUN SUPPORT. You can't win a title on the arm of one pitcher.
