it's weird because during the playoffs you were fun confident [expletive] you we're beating everyone guy in the offseason you've been all kyle schwarber is going to be adam dunn in the field and kill himself on the brick wall and anthony rizzo's cancer is back OK, all joking a salad, I was genuinely concerned about Rizzo. To me this seems way too early for the usual "he's in the best shape of his life" stories; If I see someone I haven't seen in only a couple months and I think "whoa, they've lost 30 pounds" odds are I'm going to be worried something is wrong with them, especially if it happened over the holidays. Plus he's a power guy, so I would have figured that getting him into shape would be a combination of losing a little weight and conditioning, and not just dramatically dropping the equivalent of a toddler with still over a month to go before pitchers and catchers report. Obviously, it's all just based off of Kaplan's dumbass tweet, but it's still surprising to me.
