  1. He was jerkin' it under the table while he talked to reporters.
  2. It's crazy how famous Ali was. Like, who do you even compare it to? He's arguably the most globally famous person who ever lived.
  3. BRING BACK ZAMBRANO AS THE POTASSIUM MENTOR.
  4. Zobrist would make more sense at 1B, but whatever.
  5. Why, did you click on this link by mistake? http://uproxx.com/dimemag/marshall-henderson-ole-miss-profile/ JK - though that this kid apparently isn't a big fan of Ben Zobrist is straight up cold blooded.
  6. It cracked me up how until I left my old job at the end of 2014 we were still getting Nigerian prince-style scam faxes. that and offers for cruises is all we get SO many cruise offers.
  7. Well, with Baez I'm assuming he realizes that he was drafted by the previous FO.
  8. I don't think this guy in the comments really understands what "development" is (or that the Cubs FO DID draft Rizzo, just when they were with another team). And apparently Schwarber is dead to him, I guess:

  10. I end up having to send something to my kids school, doctor or camp a couple times a year. It's the only time I fax. It cracked me up how until I left my old job at the end of 2014 we were still getting Nigerian prince-style scam faxes.
  11. The dankness of the set really sells it.
  12. Counterpoint: eat my butt.
  13. I look at it as being merciful to the wretched; these terrible teams have so little to live for, so they can look back fondly on the time they managed to beat the mighty Cubs. What else do they have?
  14. Coghlan didn't lose horsefeathers to Fowler, or only become expendable because they signed him; it's not like he was going to be a regular starter if they hadn't signed Fowler; he still just would have just been getting selects starts based on matchups or who was resting. There was never a point where he wasn't expendable, regardless of Fowler's decision. Hell, if anything, by LLF's tortuous joke-logic, he should be pissed at Szczur or Zobrist before Fowler. Also: Also also: STATUSQUOSTATUSQUOSTATUSQUOSTATUSQUO
  15. Noooooo, that doesn't really work, either.
  16. Why? Yeah, what the horsefeathers is he babbling about. Is there some Fowler/Coghlan rivalry only he knows about? Or does he inexplicably think a utility player will be pissed the Cubs brought back their starting CF?
  17. That post epitomizes why this website barely gets any new members. I wasn't trying to troll at all. I sincerely am against working a pitcher hard in order to get a no hitter. We saw back in 2003 how working Prior and Wood hard lead to. But you decided to get nasty with your reply. Way to not start a conversation on a legitimate issue.
  18. Yeah, I don't think Matheny is at any risk unless they just completely tank and fall way under .500. With Ventura, the question seems to be more "how has he not been fired already?" Nobody seems to want him except for the White Sox FO.
  19. Should've worn those pants on your head I guess. DAMN YOUR STATUS QUO.
  20. EAT horsefeathers, YOU DIRTBAG.
  21. I also got so goddamned sunburned. Like, even somehow through my thick, luscious head of hair.
  22. Oh yeah, I forgot to talk about going to Sunday's game: we got the party deck deal or whatever the horsefeathers it is under the RF scoreboard. Amazing seats, plenty of room to walk around and amazing setup with all the food and drinks you could handle just, like, 10 feet behind you. Hot Doug sat in front of us and it was cool meeting him, and the Diamondback's corporate attorney sat across from us and let me check out his 2001 WS ring. Then he got security to loom behind one of my friends for talking too much trash at the D-Back's RFer. I tried to convince him to yell something at the lawyer about getting Grace off with his DUI, but he wasn't willing to go to baseball jail.
