    I think it's pretty simple; the Cubs are a good team, but we wanted/expected the post-WS Cubs to look more like the Astros given how young they were/are and how little the team has changed. It's less thinking they suck and more that it's reasonable to think they should be (somewhat significantly) better.

    unfortunately, you're making a lot of sense. it feels like they've been getting the least out of their talent for a while.
