  1. Man, I really Cubbed it up this year.
  2. This game was good and dumb and this team is an abomination.
  3. Nah, they’ll talk themselves in to thinking they can compete again like this year and do some half measure moves and wind up in the low-mid 80s wins again. Hey, since that's what everyone was saying about the Brewers, too, then this will, of course, mean that they end up with at least 100 wins.
  4. My stomach is already in knots thinking about his blowup inning Aren't the Brewers the one team he's still good against?
  5. Soooooooooo...it's Quintana starting tomorrow, right?
  6. "Dakota Hudson?" This guy is obviously some kind of sexy desperado on the lam that you'd find on a romance novel cover.
  7. "Chasen Shreve" is a Star Wars name that even George Lucas thinks is a bit much.
  8. All this has been happening as I'm trying to fold my damn laundry. So someone give me some more laundry.
  9. They intentionally walked THIS Bryant? Man, this guy stinks.
  10. Damn, this guy is legit melting down; he actually walked Baez.
  11. Ben Zobrist hit a triple at Wrigley? What did it do, bounce off of Wrigley Rat?
  12. Yes with how much of that money on the DL or otherwise ineffective in the case of Bryant? It’s fair to say that the Cubs blew it but there were also other circumstances that played a part. Yes, it was a cumulative [expletive] up. Man, imagine how even more insane people would be if the Cardinals hadn't mercifully shot their own dicks off in the last 2-3 weeks.
  13. Barely over .500 is at least pretty damn close to a choke job given how deep this team was supposed to be, the money spent, and that they spent a good chunk of that stretch with two division rivals nipping at their heels.
  14. the brewers had a red hot finish because they played a bunch of horsefeathers, non-trying teams as half of baseball is actively trying to lose. cubs played many of those same horsefeathers, non-trying teams. also the brewers whipped the cubs’ ass head to head. brewers played out of their minds for a month but if you end the season losing 4/7 at home to pirates and cardinals, it’s partially on you. Sure I’m not saying the Cubs are blameless but the Brewers have played out of their minds and the Cubs have limped to the end exhausted and filled with injuries to key players and still played 90+ win baseball most of the month Meh; they've played horsefeathers baseball (especially offensively) for pretty much the entire second half, and most benefited from the weak schedule that was supposed to be the reason they left everyone in the dust.
  15. Every time I see Yairo Munoz, all I can think is, "how drunk are the Cardinals that they let a baby standing on the shoulders of a really fat dog on its hind legs play baseball?"
  16. What does Duker think? Cubs are finally finishing off the prolonged duker they've been trying to squeeze out for a while now.
  17. Hey, maybe since the Brewers had to come back and win the last 2 games, starting up on top today means they'll lose. Or something.
  18. The Brewers did get horsefeathering hot. It’s not an excuse. It’s a horsefeathering fact. As is the Cubs playing mediocre at best for two months.
  19. What was the VRD supposed to be? Eleventy billion?
  20. How did this beautiful requiem get ZERO likes? You jerks.
  21. I mean the Brewers will go 24-10 to finish the season. Sure the Cubs could have played that well but it’s a valid excuse as is the Cubs never having an off day while I believe the Brewers had 5 The Cubs didn't even have to play well; they literally just needed to win one or two more games.
  22. The Cubs suck. The Bears don't suck. This is truly Hell.
