  1. Even Joe Morgan is saying this is ridiculous if no warning was ever issued before the game. He warned Lilly and the bench after the hit, then randomly tossed him two seconds later.
  2. So Cubs say no warning was issued before the game.
  3. Restore? It was a "White Sox Town" for about a month almost two years ago.
  4. Izturius AND Jones?!? Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be this lucky as a baseball fan!
  5. Agreed. If that thing gets up and running, no way he's sinking any kind of money into baseball.
  6. This is just total conjecture on the part of the paper, right? I don't recall seeing him say anything specific recently that indicates he's going after the Cubs.
  7. Is it a safe assumption for people to think that Soriano is going to have as many homers or XBH's if he moves to 4th or 5th in the lineup? I understand the appeal of wanting those big shots later on, but what about the numbers that seem to indicate he doesn't hit as well when not at the top? This is what I'm talking about when I'm confused as to which argument has more merit.
  8. Wow, way to go, Lee and Floyd. Woo Cuban harder than you've ever wooed before!
  9. OK, I've seen the arguments for and against Soirano in terms of whether or not he's been a better career hitter in the leadoff spot. Which is right?
  10. I think a split is a pretty big letdown actually. They score 4 on Hudson in the first inning, and get out of facing Smoltz. Not only that, but they get Jones actually doing something with the hat and taking out Hudson just as he seemed to be recovering from the 1st and getting locked in. Oh, but then some mytsical and mysterious SIDE-THROWER comes in, to baffle and frighten the Cubs with his superhuman abilities, ooooooooooh! I'm really sick of how a tiny tweek in the "typical" pitch delivery leaves the Cubs baffled, like a guy throwing sidearm, or, say, left-handed.
  11. Jacque should have been yanked as soon as Hudson was gone.
  12. OK, Sean...walking the pitcher is bad. Please don't do it again. Thanks.
  13. :-x People who overreact to the use of "[expletive]" are really annoying. Yes, by all means, lets make fun of mental handicaps. I'm not sure if he was making fun of anyone so much as making a prediction regarding Barrett's actual IQ. Nah, let's just move on. My hyperbole does get the best of me from time to time.
  14. :-x People who overreact to the use of "[expletive]" are really annoying. Yes, by all means, lets make fun of mental handicaps. True, comparing them to Michael Barrett is pretty cruel.
  15. :-x People who overreact to the use of "[expletive]" are really annoying. I have no problem saying "Barrett plays [expletive] baseball" instead.
  16. Barrett is [expletive]. I will not miss him next year.
  17. Umm that wasnt a dribbler. HAHA he has to leave. Hit somebody else on purpose [expletive]. Yeah, I was sort of watching from my office and all I saw was Jacque and then Hudson fielding the ball. Then I saw the replay, so kudos, Jacque. Nice payback.
  18. Two days now where Jacque's hideous dribblers back to the pitcher have worked out.
  19. OK, Lee did not "scamper" to 3rd. He ran in confidently, dammit.
