I'd be tempted to try Lee at 3rd and Get Ward in at 1st. But then again, I'm a madman. Were there fireworks going of already, or was that just some Southsiders having a spirited debate?
isn't it terrible how often they run that? it's a fun show, but not all the damned reruns. VH1 runs everything into the ground. Still, I can't believe how pathetic Screech is. I mean, yeah, it's Screech, but DAMN. What a douche.
The back issue is tied into his weight. The man himself has said that he has trouble keeping the weight off as the season goes on. As a person gets older, it becoems harder and harder to keep weight down. Is that really the type of situation we should ignore when talking about signing a pitcher for 5+ years? Apparently only when he decides he's that good. And he can net you a huge return. It would be nice if for once the Cubs sold high. Using a guy that plays once every five days to potentially fill multiple every day holes seems like a great idea, especially since developing pitching seems to be the only thing we can do sorta right in our system. Most people are talking about trading him for proven impact players, or prospects to spin off for those players. Which is what most people are suggesting when they talk about trading him.
Huh? Most of us that were serious about trading him still want to trade him. If anything, his crappy pitching was turning us off to trading him because it was killing his value.
Wow, when I went to my last game at Wrigley about two weeks ago, my friend and I were talking about how they HAD to have AC up in that scoreboard. Poor bastards.
Yep, then corey patterson walked up to him and refused to give him an autograph. And then later after that, Moises Alou walked to Barrett and urinated on Barrett's hands. And LaTroy Hawkins just laughed and laughed as he set a bus full of nuns on fire.
Trade him so Hill, Lilly and Marquis are your 1-2-3 for the next couple of years. Good choice. It's not like the Cubs are magically forbidden from signing or trading for new pitchers or promoting from within if Zambrano is dealt. I'd rather use the spazzy guy with back issues tied into his weight who only plays once every five days to net us at least one every day slamdunk impact player, maybe more.
