  1. Agreed on all counts. Hell, Jeff Gordon's awful rendition was more entertaining that what looked like a 2-0 beating by the Astros... Heck yeah. I was at that game with my dad and it was hysterical. The fans were shouting over him with the right version while the boos grew louder until the song was done and we really let him have it. What was the big deal? The fans still got to sing and we got to boo a midget out of the booth. Awesome.
  2. Wow, great AB for Cedeno! Linedrive to CF, Lee scores, Cedeno slides in for a double.
  3. Lee with his 2nd double of the game, 30th of the year, no outs.
  4. Rowand flies out to RF. 1-2-3 inning for Multi-pitch-Rich.
  5. Hill k's howard for the 2nd out. Howard is 2-11 this series with 7 k's.
  6. it was the second pitch, and he stung the ball for the second time tonight. Cubs in general have hit the ball very hard thus far. Stung? Code for "he got it a little quicker than usual to the fielder." 1st out over the shoulder catch by Cedeno.
  7. it was the second pitch, and he stung the ball for the second time tonight. Cubs in general have hit the ball very hard thus far. Fine, he still knocked it right at Iguchi. And Hill and Soriano's singles were not hit hard at all.
  8. Fontenot swings at the first pitch and grounds a DP to 2nd, inning over.
  9. Hill rolls a single up the middle, Kendall scores, 1 out.
  10. Kendall knocks a double into the RF gap. Has reached base in his last 6 games.
  11. Blowing in, but not too hard. I didn't catch the direction.
  12. Was Jock chasing his own grounder?!? That was a bizarre route.
  13. Wow, Len has really lost a lot of weight since he started this job.
  14. Hill k's 'em for the 3rd out! Awesome inning for Hill!
  15. Are you really going to gripe as often as possible about people getting emotional while a game is going on? I very rarely gripe. I thought everybody was going o be excited that rich got out of it with very little damage. I thought it was ridiculous to see some of the responses, so I let people know about it. The vast majority of the criticism of Hill came before he got out of the inning, not after. The conversation about his mental stuff has been going on since before the game started. Besides, that first inning would be more exciting if he didn't get into such a mess in the first place and it wasn't just the first inning. I'm beginning to just accept Rich Hill as a starter is like Demp as the closer...he'll get the job done, but he'll give you a few heart attacks along the way. Fly out to RF by the leadoff for the 2nd out.
  16. Nice! Moyer bunts, DeRosa throws Nunez out at 2nd for the 1st out.
  17. Uh oh, Sarge is gonna join Len in the booth later. Nunez singles. No outs.
  18. Anyone know how many pitches that was for Moyer?
  19. Are you really going to gripe as often as possible about people getting emotional while a game is going on?
