  1. Leadoff double for Sori down the LF line.
  2. Problem is, Bradley really hasnt been struggling lately. He hasnt lived up to expectaions, but hes been doing fine for himself. He's 0-10 with 4 K's in his last 10 PA In Bradley's last 13 PA's, he has a .538 OBP. I don't get the benching. Isn't it because his wrist is sore after making that attempt at a diving catch last night?
  3. I agree that pitchers can readjust to him, but he's so obviously gone back to his old approach as opposed to sticking with the changes and not getting results.
  4. Co-query. It really doesn't make any sense. Last year it definitely was a case of the league figuring him out, but this year it seems more like he's allowed his approach to regress to what it was last year.
  5. It wasn't nonsense. He clearly had made some adjustments in his approach at the plate. His swing wasn't as "wild," or whatever anyone wants to call it. He seem to be timing his swing better and planting his foot before following through, cutting down on the "Fukucopter." It would still show up at times when he struck out, but by and large he clearly improved his hitting with how he was driving the ball much more.
  6. It is. An impact bat has to be added to this lineup somehow. I'm not sure who or where, or if it's even possible, but short of that happening and Aramis providing something when he comes back, this team is toast. This team doesn't have worst-in-baseball type talent, but they've gotten worst-in-baseball results RISP. There's got to be an easier way to fix that than bringing in an expensive player. I agree, but I'm stumped. The gulf between being able to get guys on and then do next to nothing with them has just gotten absurd.
  7. It was at home. And against some pretty terrible pitchers compared to Porcello and Jackson, and the Det bullpen. That too. I still just don't get why they can't seal the deal. It's not like they're being shut down by these guys. They're getting on base and then...what? Why is everyone forgetting how to hit with RISP? It's baffling. Ive really never seen anything like it, its mind boggling. I know Aram has been real good with RISP in his career, but my God he cant make this much difference. Right. This is making Aramis look like a Pujols-like player, and we all know he's nowhere near that. It would be one thing if they just stunk in general and couldn't put together anything against pitchers, but we keep seeing these games with 10+ runners OB and minimial runs scored. It's ridiculous.

  10. That was clearly a ball, but the ump just didn't want to prolong the fake rally. It was a mercy killing.
  11. I may be wrong, but I think roids and hgh are illegal without a prescription because they can be very, very harmful if taken incorrectly. Or do you mean against baseball rules, rather than illegal? The hypothetical I'd put out there to the people determined to railroad steroid users is whether or not they'd be OK with PED's down the line that work in effect like the banned substances do (increased power, less DL time, etc.) but are ultimately not as harmful as they are now, if at all, and are legal. Would those be OK or would those be tainting the game? Let's say the health risks have been lowered to the point that they're legal if a doctor approves their use. Not all athletes are able to or willing to use them, but they're out there. Should those be allowed? HGH is legal by prescription now, in some form. There was a guy in my grade school that was on it b/c he had mild dwarfism. If you have a valid prescription for HGH but are good enough to play MLB, then you should get an exception. I hate to fight the hypo, but it seems far fetched. I don't think it's too far fetched to think that down the line supplements that have similar effects to banned PED's but without many of the health risks will emerge.
  12. This seems so much more frustrating than the other bad stretch. It didn't seem like they were getting nearly this many guys on base before.
  13. 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months...what's the difference? Nobody thought he wasn't going to blow another save. When it happened is meaningless. Just don't be surprised when it keeps happening. Over, and over, and over. Wait, you're predicitng that Kevin Gregg will have more blown saves this year? Gee, I wonder if they call you "swami."
  14. Improve the offense, less close games to toss to the bullpen. That's not saying the bullpen can't be improved, but focusing on the bullpen as THE problem seems to be trying to put out the brush fire while your house is a blazing inferno.
  15. I may be wrong, but I think roids and hgh are illegal without a prescription because they can be very, very harmful if taken incorrectly. Or do you mean against baseball rules, rather than illegal? Yes, I meant against baseball rules. and if it's the harmful argument...if sometime in the future, steroids become as safe as lasic surgery, should they then become legal in baseball? Hell yes. I'm hoping it's just a stepping stone to cyborgs.
  16. Fox just barely beat out a triple play. Hysterical.
