Both those guys score runs, so they must be good leadoff hitters, right? FWIW, both those guys would be better than Soriano at hitting leadoff, because they both actually get on base. Because Soriano has shown over his career, for better or for worse, that he hits best in the leadoff spot unlike those you just listed. Actually, he does the critical thing that you want a lead off hitter to do: cross home plate. He's also shown he's not as effective when hitting elsewhere in the lineup.
