Pierre grounds out to Baker at 3rd. Vizquel grounds out to SS. Konerko strikes out. Much better inning for Gorzelanny. I think he only threw about a dozen pitches.

Trammell forgot to bring his jersey (he's managing since Lou stayed back in AZ with the other team).

Millar strikes out. Nady strikes out. (He eventually got it to a full count, but Nady must be trying to shake some rust off because he is swinging at almost everything) Fontenot singles into RF. Soto singles into right-center, Fontenot to 3rd. Baker singles into RF on the first pitch, Soto to 2nd, Fontenot scores, Cubs 3-1. Fuld bounces out to 2nd.

Andruw Jones walks. Kotsay walks. Teahen strikes out. Flowers walks. De Aza strikes out. Pitch to Nix bounces off Soto (WP), runners advance, 2-1 Cubs. Nix strikes out.

Baker k's. Fuld pops out to the 3B in foul territory. Theriot walks. Theriot steals 2nd. Fukudome walks. Byrd flies out to RF.

Pierre tries to drop a bunt but is gunned down by Soto, 1 pitch. Vizquel grounds out to Theriot, 2 pitches. Konerko flies out to Fuld in LF. Gorzelanny goes, obviously, 1-2-3 with only 7 pitches thrown.

Cubs are the away team in Vegas tonight. Theriot leadoff with a bunt and then reached 2nd on a throwing error. Fuku grounds to 2nd, advancing Theriot to 3rd. Byrd flares a single into CF, Theriot scores. Millar walks. Nady strikes out. Fontenot flares a single into LF, Byrd scores easily from 2nd since Slappy McRagdoll arm opts to not even throw. Soto singles into CF, Jones throws out old ass Millar at the plate by a mile.

Being smart. If the batter is charging out there with bat, you get out of the way. I don't know why the pitcher kept looking back instead of just booking for the nearest exit.

I also rememeber plenty of games when they were winning where I was wishing that Gibson was out there instead of Tyrus. Tyrus certainly had his moments, but there were plenty of games where het got time while they were winning where he was basically a non-factor.

I think the truth lies in the middle. I have absolutely no doubt that Bradley got racist hate mail while he was here. I have a ton of doubt that it came from within the organization or that he was basically encountering racism or even people acting negatively towards him everywhere he went in Chicago.

Regarding Tyrus....Bulls and Tyrus started out the season 2-2, Tyrus is hurt, Bulls go 10-15, Tyrus comes back, Bulls go 15-8, Tyrus leaves again, Bulls go 4-7 so far. Again its hard to come out and say he's the reason considering how sporatic his PT was, and hundreds of other variables at play, but it's a stat so take it for what it's worth It's far too selective a stat. Isn't when the Bulls went 15-8 also basically lining up with when Rose started playing at full strength?
