  1. Is Asik really that valuable? I'm honestly asking; how unlikely would it be that they could ultimately replace him with a similar player?
  2. His voice is awful, but he's nowhere near as annoying as King Quiet, you.
  3. And I'm really surprised at the negative reaction to Pippen joining the broadcasting team that I'm hearing on the radio. Not negativity towards Scottie, but more the support that Neil Funk gets. That guy is awful.
  4. So the only factor that comes into play with home-road splits is crowd volume/engagement? I think his point is more that the larger idea of home vs. road environment (ie-noise and what have you) being a factor doesn't really weigh in. If there's a "problem" it's that the Bulls play down to shitty teams. That's something we've seen them do plenty of times at home, too, so it's not something restricted to their road games. It's that playing down that's ultimately lead to the mediocre road record. They're not going to do that in the playoffs or against good teams, hence why it's not really a problem so much as being an annoyance.
  5. It's pretty damn funny hearing the radio shows here griping about this, like the "I'm cured" comment was serious.
  6. It's average. It also requires people to actually look how that record is broken down. Given the injuries they've dealt with this year I take much more away from the 13 wins than the 13 losses. What means more in the big picture...losing scattered games to the Nets or the Raptors or winning the west coast trips and beating big teams on the road? When it's "mattered" on the road this year they've pulled it together and looked impressive. I think that speaks much more as to how they'll do on the road against good teams and in the playoffs.
  7. Like I said, it's the collective body of work. And seemingly using this game to highlight your conclusion based largely on generalizations and specifically pointing out losses to bad teams while merely glossing over impressive road wins and the west coast road trips. Like I said, inconsistent. Yeah, they lost in Toronto tonight...but they also beat the holy [expletive] [expletive] out of the Raptors in Toronto, too. So...yeah? I just don't see much of anything from their overall road performance this year that indicates this is indicative of a glaring problem or trend that's going to be something to worry about in the playoffs or really anything meaningful the rest of the season. If it's an important road game they're going to be out for blood. The shitty road losses don't really mean much of anything.
  8. ? you are odd. All I said is that the Bulls are mediocre on the road. It's pretty clear that this is true. The rest of the argument is just you putting words in my mouth. Well, it's just weighing your reputation as NSBB's overly wordy worrywart as a whole. You seem to continually be looking for things to over-analyze, especially negative ones, and I think you're trying too hard in this case yet again. No, it's not doom & gloom, "only the Cobs"-erik-type nonsense, but still, I think you're placing too much stock into games that don't reflect how well this team plays against good teams and when it's an important game. I'd call them inconsistent, not mediocre. They pulled off winning records for their two big west coast trips so far, and I place much more stock into that than scattered losses to bad teams. A loss like tonight isn't indicative of any kind of problematic trend that's going to sidetrack them when it counts.
  9. It doesn't mean [expletive] in crunch time. Trust me. For once, don't worry yourself until you poop blood.
  10. I wouldn't really expect them to be a good road team as most teams are much better at home. And I have little doubt this team is just going to roll over or collapse in important games simply because they're on the road. A loss like tonight's (or against other bad teams) has little reflection when it comes to the road games they'll be playing in the playoffs. You really expected them to be a great road team? That seems like a really unrealistic expectation.
  11. Oh come on. It was a team coming off a long break into a trap game with their center still getting his feet back under him AND they still scored 100. This is a team they've kicked the [expletive] out of with ease and they stumbled tonight. It's hardly proof of anything serious.
  12. Nah. They're going to kick the [expletive] out of the Heat because of this. Hopefully everyone's tears will be dried by then.
  13. AKA Who will WSR irrationally love and demand be made a starter before breaking up with them so hard?
  14. Every so often I'll get a "pop-up was blocked" message from this site. I've got MSE and nothing shows up on my scans with that or Spybot or Malwarebyte or Avira.
  15. Kaplan pulled an Adebisi on him.
  16. I only want Quade leaning towards having an answer if his answers are "Fukudome, Fukudome and SP."
  17. ... They haven't played a single ST game yet.
  18. God damn; Quade is like something out of a fevered nightmare. Castro cares even less about his photo than his defense: http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/1f/fullj.88ab349172d1fa5d7dd1bf291f472d94/88ab349172d1fa5d7dd1bf291f472d94-getty-108039184es108_chicago_cubs.jpg Wood is apparently running for president: http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/6b/fullj.61d4fdbb2026e3782539dd2a32755dc1/61d4fdbb2026e3782539dd2a32755dc1-getty-108039184es089_chicago_cubs.jpg
  19. He's the best that KNOWS HOW TO WIN. Teixeira and Gonzalez majored in losing.
  20. We need a ruling: is this more or less negative a message than choosing to use a position player as a reliever instead of a starting pitcher after the bullpen is depleted?
  21. "Unhip?" Most teams wisely lock up any young, good 3B they have for a long, long time.
  22. Man, if you can motivate someone to [expletive] in your spot then I don't feel sorry for you at all. You have to REALLY piss people off to inspire that kind of response.
  23. I love this man so very much.
