  1. Zambrano 1-2-3 1st, Kosuke walks to leadoff...111-51, PRINT IT.
  2. Moreland's already like the anti-Santo, and it's what I've wanted for a while now...but aw, Ronnie.
  3. Well, it's with about 100 less PA (444 vs. 339), but the argument could be made that Kosuke hits better from the #2 spot instead of #1. .233 .355 .363 .718 .255 .353 .427 .780 Though with 368 PA he's been very effective hitting #5: .291 .381 .468 .850 So hell, I don't know. Maybe something like: Castro Soto Pena Aramis Fukudome Soriano Byrd DeWitt
  4. Sure as hell would be better than Tampa.
  5. Would that really be a concern these days? This is Nu-Vegas we're talking about here. And actually, forget the economic questions...aren't they going to run out of [expletive] water, too?
  6. Yeah, his numnbers weren't too hot there last year, but he only started 47 games there last year. He's still got a career .355 OBP there over his three years with the Cubs. Personally, I'd be happy with him hitting 1st or 2nd I'd go Castro/Fuku/Pena/Aram/Soto/Soriano/Byrd/DeWitt myself Works for me.
  7. THAT'S NOT WHAT IT IS. RARGH.

  9. Swap Pena and Byrd and then Byrd and Soto and I love that lineup.
  10. New York's a large enough population to have enough people that hate both the Yankees and Mets to support a 3rd team. I'd be all for moving a couple of the teams already out there. Send one to NYC and another to Vegas. Vegas will need an indoor facility first, but I definitely like the idea. Although Vegas has taken a rather mighty hit with the economy lately. The foreclosure rate there might be higher than anywhere in the country right now. It's probably not the ideal time to consider it there right now. Good point. Once the economy recovers more it's probably the one last major untapped market where a baseball team could do well.
  11. How do you figure? Aramis, yeah, you can make that argument, but Pena really doesn't have to improve all that much to be producing runs from the #3 spot.
  12. MY SON GAVE ME THESE PANTIES, YOU JERK.

  14. erik is, of course, completely [expletive] up the discussions people have had when debates have come up as to where the best hitters should be penciled in in the top half of the lineup. Colvin need not apply.
  15. Yeah, it's sounding more and more like they wanted to dump Mayo but were trying to not get fleeced, and when the Bulls didn't blink Memphis freaked out and tried to work out the deal with the Pacers at the last minute.
  16. Wow. Surprised they turned that down. I'm assuming they were figuring they could force the Bulls' hand into giving them an even better deal. What I heard on the radio made it sound like Memphis wanted a combo of Korver and Bogans/Brewer and the first round picks. It was Houston that was pushing for Asik.
  17. Zambrano has pitched well in the past when the Cubs weren't out of it, when there was pressure, and when people really cared what was going on. Doesn't matter. Too many fans only see him as some kind of bloated psycho who is a much, much worse pitcher than he actually is.
  18. Let's not. The funniest thing is that most of the people who get worked up over Zambrano are the same that go bonkers over players and managers acting like they don't care.
  19. Nobody cares about your damn kids here.
  20. And amazing as the two of them are, I'm thinking this current set up of the Heat just might end up killing Wade and James.
  21. So the Bulls offered Memphis Brewer, 2 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick for Mayo.
  22. I am so [expletive] pumped right now.
  23. Colvin getting the most AB's on the team? Please, I'm begging you, no.
  24. He's just furious that someone is at McDonald's instead of him.
