I have seen the term thrown around by a select few on this board with regards to Cubs fans in general. Pretty broad brush to paint with, no? And this has nothing to do with Kaplan. And if Kaplan was a racist like some on this board toe the line on, what the hell is he posing with a (gulp) Pujols jersey for? Because he's not some overt Klan member; he just lets the inherent racism of our society color his opinions of players he doesn't like. He despised Todd Hundley. Of course, he was hispanic, so you might be on to something. I'll make this as clear as I can: Kaplan's "racism" stems from his repeated fallback to stereotypical criticisms of non-white players (lazy, doesn't care, gives up, etc.).
