  1. I think Campana's arm is seen as a little better than that. Average to maybe a little below average, but not so bad that teams are actively looking to take extra bases like Pierre. And that's really all you need in CF, where there tend to be less close plays where a better arm would make much of a difference. Works for me. I'm just surprised that such a, uh, slight player could pull that off.

  3. Not that Byrd has a cannon, but I'd have to think that Campana's throwing is Juan Pierre-esque.
  4. I laughed at this and then I laughed even harder at how awesome this inning is.
  5. Hmmm. The only Cubs games I've been able to watch this year were the last two wins...and now this one. I'm just going to keep this up and pretend they're actually pretty damn good.
  6. Those points, plus just how nonsensical it is to say "it's time to pull the plug on the Soto era" like that's a thing. Why? Contrary to what the meatballs think, he's not blocking any prospects that need to be the starting catcher for the Cubs right now. So what does "pull the plug" mean if this guy is saying he has no value? Just get rid of him? And he's asking why anyone would think that's a terrible idea? I mean, he's talking about Soto like he's a lock to stay this bad or get worse.
  7. I just don't even... ... I give up. Your first post was a terrible one.
  8. No, not FATAL!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
  9. Oh Christ; if this was a star on another team complaining about the training staff the meatballs above would be laughing about what a drama queen they were, but since it's the Bulls, hey, suddenly he's Dr. Rose.
  10. Someday you'll realize the gift you're being given.
  11. I'm assuming today was a combo of a brutal team and (mostly) REALLY awful weather, but I was going by Addison on the Red Line at 1:30, and the corner in front of the stadium was surprisingly sparse. Again, it was pretty nasty in terms of cold and wind, but it barely looked like game day out there. Not many people getting off the train looking like they were going to the game, either.
  12. What "general view of the board" is he disagreeing with?
  13. lol Somewhere Scottie Pippen just got really angry and he doesn't know why.
  14. Then he must have had a stroke or something and his brain is dead because that's moronic. I need a Photoshop of Morbo screaming "BUILDING BASEBALL TEAMS DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY."
  15. GIVE ME SUPER BASEBALL 2020.
  16. Oh, [expletive] that noise. Does it matter? So what if they "only" lose 90. We're rebuilding, and hopefully in a few years Theo can turn us into worldbeaters. Well, yes, it "matters." It's an even more uphill battle to improve a team that loses at least 100 games as opposed to 90, but my point was more dismissing how unlikely it is that they even lose 100 games in the first place.
