  1. Yet again you dismiss the will of the people there. Oh, and from your own horsefeathers link: That almost about 2 weeks ago. Maduro still hasn't released the voting info. That they're not openly supporting him as in the post screams volumes. Open your horsefeathers eyes.
  2. Dipshit, who are you talking to? Nobody is calling for American or European intervention. Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are all telling him to release the election results. Other South and Central American countries are offering him sanctuary if he steps down. AGAIN, HIS OWN PEOPLE WANT HIM GONE.
  3. Nope, there's zero horsefeathers evidence for this, and you 100000000000% will not find any, and posting yet another video of someone throwing a tantrum on Breakthrough News isn't evidence no matter how badly you want it to be. Your argument against them winning is little more than, "I don't like it, therefore I don't accept it." Even his closest regional allies are calling Maduro out on his horsefeathers. The election observers, including the ones MADURO horsefeathers INVITED, are saying he stole it. horsefeathers, if you think the opposition results were faked, why are so many people in the streets in support of their win, and why is Maduro cracking down so hard and suppressing all the voting data?
  4. TOM, THEY horsefeathers VOTED FOR THE OPPOSITION. Like, that's what the people there overwhelmingly voted for. That doesn't make it the ideal choice in a vacuum compared to any number of other hypothetical possibilities, but given the available choices IT'S WHAT THEY CLEARLY horsefeathers WANT RIGHT NOW INSTEAD OF MADURO. I know you'll just patronizingly dismiss it as all of those voters as just being brainwashed or CIA crisis actors or who the horsefeathers knows what, but the reality is that Maduro IS SO horsefeathers AWFUL that the vast majority of the voters there cast their vote for the people running against him.
  5. But Tom cares SO. DAMN. MUCH. That he....wants them to remain under the thumb of a totalitarian dipshit brutally cracking down on his own people for daring to *checks notes* vote against him for running the country into the ground.
  6. I think he comes in here and his eyes just roll back into his head, everything sounds like the trombone parent voices in the Peanuts cartoons, and all he sees is this on loop:
  7. You're still arguing against horsefeathers nobody is saying here. You're still arguing against the will of the Venezuelan people. Just off in your own little world, wildly JAQing off all over yourself: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Just_asking_questions
  8. (Please recall that Tom himself bizarrely threw down The Nation as a trump card, the same Nation that has said that Maduro stole the election, but also repeatedly dismisses any media outlet saying Maduro lost as being controlled by US propoganda)
  9. Like, you horsefeathers care more about the Tankie college protestors getting their 'gram karma than the ACTUAL Venezuelans ACTUALLY fighting and suffering against Maduro's corruption, which is horsefeathers WILD that you can do with a straight face.
  10. I haven't "backed" anyone except the horsefeathers will of the people being oppressed you disingenuous, intellectually bankrupt toad.
  11. THE VENEZUELEAN PEOPLE VOTED MADURO OUT. The right thing to do, as this thread started with, is to lend our individual support to the people bravely resisting against his efforts to steal the election and crack down on dissenters. Nobody here has argued for US intervention, or wanting the sanctions to continue. Just horsefeathers stop arguing against NOTHING.
  12. Again, they want Maduro gone, and they overwhelmingly voted to send him packing, and now they're the ones literally fighting against his blatant theft of the election. You have no argument against any that, so you just keep squealing in circles and deludedly telling yourself you're the only one that's actually on their side and that Maduro staying in power is good actually.
  13. So does ANY of the anti-Maduro sentiment register to you? The protests? The other Latin American countries saying he stole the election and should step down? The Venezuelan Leftist groups denouncing him? Of course not. It's all the result of American corruption and influence to you. None of the evidence about Maduro's sloppy efforts to steal the election and the suppress the opposition matters to you because you can just handwave it away is American lies or whatever the horsefeathers. You are, to be blunt, straight up delusional at this point, and all you're doing is arguing against phantoms saying things that nobody here actually is. Bottom line, Maduro is a corrupt strongman who stole the election, and the vast majority of the Venezuelan people obviously want him out and voted for the opposition.
  14. The Venezuelan people overwhelmingly voted for that candidate; spouting fringe conspiracy theories that run in the face of a mountain of evidence to the contrary amounts to you throwing an ideologically adrift tantrum at this point. They want Maduro gone, and he's stealing their will, their money, their freedom and their lives.
  15. Oh, oh Tom. Poor, poor Tom: What’s Next for the Left in Venezuela? | The Nation
  16. Again, *YOU* are the one wailing that the will of the Venezuelan people should be denied simply because you don't like the result. Oh, hey, here's The Nation's latest take:
  17. Wait, did you even read that Nation article? What do you think any of us here disagree with in it? Tom, blink twice if you can read this. Venezuelans and other Latin American countries are the ones who either tried to vote him out, are protesting against him now, or saying that he needs to step down. *YOU'RE* the one dismissing all of that by saying it's just manufactured or manipulated actions by the US.
  18. And then you would truly know what it's like to find a stranger in the Alps.
