Well, bringing the tying run to the plate with no outs is pretty shitty. Yeah, he followed it up with a k and two grounders, but that he was in that situation in the first place given the type of pitcher he is is problematic (especially since guys were hitting him and not just walking on).

That play was annoying, but it's kinda incredible how absolutely horrible he looks at the plate.
  9. Sammy Sofa
Eh, McCutchen looks horrible, too. It won't last.

Valbuena is somehow even more embarrassing than Lillibridge.

    Quiet, Turd Ferguson.

Largely because the public would perceive it as the government giving the rich Cubs money no matter how they tried to spin/explain it.

"PEDs" obviously don't only encompass juiced steroid monsters and speed. Why would anyone be getting mad over this?
  18. Sammy Sofa
Really? You've got comments on this very page talking about how the "Steroid Era" started in the 90's, and it's hardly a unique train of thought. And often when you get people pushing the era back they tend to stop once they hit the late 80's.
  19. Sammy Sofa
I really find it hard to believe that people can honestly tell themselves that PEDs in MLB didn't take off until the 90's.
  20. Sammy Sofa
    Probably the late 60's onwards.

What? Most of us want to see Stewart get back ASAP and see what he can do. Yeah, most of us also aren't expecting much, but you're not really going out on a limb with that one.
  22. Sammy Sofa
Oh, I see what you did there.

    Truffle-bomb. YOINK.

Yeah, I totally blanked on Tulowitski. Oh well. Here's hoping he ends up crippled or something.

Eh...last two months; he was still terrible in July.
