  1. I get that. It's not like Hairston is killing it either. Guys, all I'm saying is it would hurt absolutely nothing to let him play vs a lefty or 2. I just wanna see if we have a guy that could maybe play every day down the road. I get that, but this far into his career it's unlikely he's a diamond in the rough. You want to try and get the other guys going so they can contribute, and sitting them isn't going to help that. Probably so, but I'd just like to see them take a chance. Like I said, it can't hurt anything. This team doesn't look like it's gonna be any better than last year, so I'm fine with rolling the dice a little. Well, even if it's a bust of a year you want to get guys like Hairston going so you can ideally trade them. Schierholtz will have plenty of value if he can continue to be serviceable in his half of the platoon.
  2. Maybe if Sappelt hurled himself into the wall head-first at full speed and possibly killed himself, but probably not.

  4. Hairston would move from RF to CF in that situation. Do we really want Hairston in CF? As much of a brick [expletive]-house as he is I just assumed he could only man the corners passably at best.
  5. Yes, Sappelt stinks, but isn't he playing CF? I don't think we want Schierholtz manning that spot.
  6. Deep, man. Deep.
  7. Well, likely because he's not very good against lefties. Might as well see if the other side of the platoon can get hot and let Schierholtz keep mashing against righties since he's likely to not do any better.
  8. Gotta keep that lefty vs righty match up that so many people just love!!! Sappelt is garbage. I've seen enough of him. I don't care if he hits RH, LH, or with his feet. Platooning is a good idea. Platooning with Sappelt is not.
  9. Jerks, probably. Remember when people flipped out over the Spider-Man ads on the bases? That was funny. Make the money, dammit.
  10. Eh, some people get a boner over old timey organ music.
  11. And you find me incredibly hard to ignore. Ignoring things that bother you is not exactly your calling card. You're incredibly easy to ignore; it's simply far more fun to mock you.
  12. That's because you're some kind of weird, racist Asperger's monster.
  13. Hasn't misspelled Lillibridge's name once.
  14. Meh; I've found it pretty easy to ignore.
  15. Note how he has no problem spelling the white guy's weird name just fine.
  16. Jock Jams volumes 1, 2 and 4. Plus the absence of a JumboTron hasn't prevented Wrigley from blasting terrible music in recent years.
  17. Maybe they can convince So Taguchi to come out of retirement, just to drive Kyle especially insane. Since Kyle is an enormous racist.
  18. I mean, I had no idea that the really good Clemente bio I just finished was interesting because of the World Series.
  19. Because by and large the history of baseball is about the history of the world series. Well, no, it's mostly because they've been bad and have had boring players. You really think most baseball books revolve around World Series stories?
  20. That was my point. He comes off as a spoiled, whiny B. I really don't think we should hold a telethon for the tough life of multi-million dollar athlete's and their tough life. You don't understand things.
