  1. It's just the starting pitcher throwing 10 straight balls after already having 2 outs. NDB.
  2. Don't worry; the Cubs have their own version in...*checks notes*...Carlos Gonzalez. *Burns notes*
  3. Dude's struck out 16 times this month, and nary a walk.
  4. Yeesh; I just looked at Baez's June numbers and then immediately wished I hadn't.
  5. Apes? Yeah, what the horsefeathers, Tom.
  6. Did you mean to reply to someone else? All I was saying is he's been really damn good for at least a couple of weeks.
  7. 3.89 (ERA) 3.64 (FIP) 4.14 (xFIP) 1.31 (WHIP) vs. 1.36 (ERA) 2.63 (FIP) 2.93 (xFIP) 0.80 (WHIP) A tricky match up?
  8. So he’s been great over the last week? Cool. He’s been nothing special this year with a .284 BABIP. That doesn’t mean he won’t end up being good or great down the line. I’m just saying pump the breaks a bit. Well in fairness he said the "real deal" - not the second coming of Christ. Plus the guy's entire major league career is a limited sample size to this point. Though, hey, Schwarber looked great his first time up, too. Baseball is baseball.
  9. 4.98 (ERA) 5.29 (FIP) 4.50 (xFIP) 1.48 (WHIP) vs. 3.35 (ERA) 3.02 (FIP) 3.47 (xFIP) 0.98 (WHIP)
  10. He's got a .303 OBP and a .791 OPS after tonight. Coming into tonight, he's been worth -0.3 bWAR and 0.0 fWAR. At age 22, only 170 PA’s, cost controlled, small sample size... Yeah, plus .313 .421 1.000 in the last week with only a .182(!!!) BAbip, and .294 .368 .647 with a .333 in the last 2 weeks.
  11. Yeah, the difference is the Warriors were going to lose if Draymond didn’t call the timeout. I don’t think that’s why he called it. I think it was just instinct in the heat of the moment. But if he doesn’t do that the clock runs out. Honestly, given how many people on the Warriors on the floor and the bench were calling for it as well, it wouldn't surprise me if they all knew to do it if needed.
  12. So I get that while all the Webber comparisons are good and funny, Green wasn't the only one calling for a timeout (two other players and Kerr were all doing it, too), and it really was the only shot the Warriors had at that point of pulling of a miracle. That said, what IS funny is I think that if the Warriors HAD pulled of a miracle and taken it to game 7, Green would have been suspended from playing because of the technical.
  13. Who wore it better?
  14. Hopefully Forgotmyoldlogin can inject some new, luckier blood into these proceedings.
  15. Man, this series was great.
  16. Holy horsefeathers. What a horsefeathers up of a turnover by Toronto.
