  1. FFS, he wasn't wild; he got some bad/borderline calls against him and made a bad choice tying to Get Dunn to swing at a low one.
  2. I would rather see us have a legit hitter in there in the 8th I think Valbuena is about the only option who resembles that. Shark's not a lock to finish this well, but I don't get the disaster talk.
  3. We have an 8 man pen so it's not really taxed, but I agree it's probably not a huge deal. He retired 11 in a row prior to this inning, not all pitch counts are created equal. Well, relatively taxed in that most of the reliable guys have been used lately. But yeah, it's May 5th and it not like he has a history of being abused; people are talking like he has a real shot of falling apart because of one long outing.
  4. It's 108 pitches, the bullpen is a bit taxed and Shark is dealing...why is this the end of the world again? Because it's cold?
  5. He was positioned on the other side from where his hand was pinned, wasn't he?
  6. That's basically how I slid when I used to play. That was hideous.

  8. I just love a good gif party, even if it's for a local oaf like Rizzo.
  9. Still remember WSR not getting that in the thread about the Rizzo/Cashner thread. Hahahahahahhaah!
  10. The real victim here is mojo because Rizzo is forcing him to feel bad. Thank you. Plus what he went through finding out his dad was the Maniac Cop. That's rough.
  11. I completely forgot that Rizzo had cancer and when it was pointed out to me today I suddenly felt really bad about the whole tinyface thing. I hate feeling like that. [expletive]' Rizzo. I always feel compelled to bring it up but I figured you were well aware and are just the worst person ever. I AM horrible, which is why the regret I feel over mocking him makes me dislike him even more.
  12. Abreu is also "the new guy" while Rizzo has now been around for quite a while in Chicago, and all of that time has been for a team that loses a lot of freaking baseball games. And had the perception of being a disappointment last year. Like you said, Abreu is the sexy Cuban rookie on the heels of the big story Puig has been and still is. Rizzo's just some dude on a shitty team.
  13. I completely forgot that Rizzo had cancer and when it was pointed out to me today I suddenly felt really bad about the whole tinyface thing. I hate feeling like that. [expletive]' Rizzo. He didn't have face cancer. But still; cancer.
  14. I completely forgot that Rizzo had cancer and when it was pointed out to me today I suddenly felt really bad about the whole tinyface thing. I hate feeling like that. Fuckin' Rizzo.
  15. Plus he's hitting a [expletive]-ton of home runs. Is it really THAT surprising that they're focusing on that instead of Rizzo? It's sports journalism, for God's sake; what do you expect?

  18. That kind of stuff always seems to happen in Boston. Really? Haven't some of the most high profile versions of that happened in Houston and Cali? Did you ever get your people on this?
  19. Obviously he meant this: http://i.imgur.com/lL1lugu.gif
  20. That was my one of my best ones. You're going to have to let it soak in for awhile before I move on. He's REALLY good at that.
