  1. You know it. http://belieber.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/dj-jazzy-jeff-fresh-prince.gif
  2. LET'S DO THIS. http://cache.bordom.net/server/?type=image&size=full&id=aHR0cDovLzI1Lm1lZGlhLnR1bWJsci5jb20vYjFlNDE0NzgyYzA3ZjJkYzZlMTIxYzljOTQ1Yjk1NzIvdHVtYmxyX21wZHd1b0VHY0oxcjMzcjBmbzFfNDAwLmdpZg==
  3. I just like that we finally reached the point that you actually have people saying that others can't enjoy it when the Cubs are good again because they've been too negative. I guess it was inevitable, but still pretty hilarious.
  4. Plus he left Cruz off of that list.
  5. Asking if any one missed FA signing would have made a difference is a loaded question; it's a self-fulfilling prophecy when you spend MULTIPLE offseasons passing on guys who, yes, on their own wouldn't have been the difference-maker, but who would have been steps to not fielding a hot mess. It really feels like they're just holding spots for their [expletive] prospects.
  6. probably the same reason you drooled over him in the offseason From the beginning (or whenever the hell I actually read that he was an orc defensively) I said I knew the Cubs weren't going to get him because of Rizzo, but yeah, I was SO off in lamenting that they couldn't sign a home run monster because the stupid NL doesn't have the DH.
  7. Yeah, but who is or was legitimately arguing that Abreu is better overall? The question basically was "why is the local sports press going nuts over him and essentially ignoring Rizzo?" That should have been painfully obvious even before it was brought up.
  8. Come on, umps...I want Samardzija to finally feel some joy.
  9. FFS, he wasn't wild; he got some bad/borderline calls against him and made a bad choice tying to Get Dunn to swing at a low one. I don't care about the walks, he threw 127 pitches in a game that means nothing. So what? Unless it becomes a trend it's not a problem. you know this how? Common sense.

  12. I would rather see us have a legit hitter in there in the 8th I think Valbuena is about the only option who resembles that. Shark's not a lock to finish this well, but I don't get the disaster talk.
  13. We have an 8 man pen so it's not really taxed, but I agree it's probably not a huge deal. He retired 11 in a row prior to this inning, not all pitch counts are created equal. Well, relatively taxed in that most of the reliable guys have been used lately. But yeah, it's May 5th and it not like he has a history of being abused; people are talking like he has a real shot of falling apart because of one long outing.
  14. It's 108 pitches, the bullpen is a bit taxed and Shark is dealing...why is this the end of the world again? Because it's cold?
  15. He was positioned on the other side from where his hand was pinned, wasn't he?
  16. That's basically how I slid when I used to play. That was hideous.

  18. I just love a good gif party, even if it's for a local oaf like Rizzo.
