  1. some uhh...good quoting going on. Anyways, wtf are the Dodgers thinking? Ned Coletti must actually be the Cubs GM as he keeps overpaying for these players so we don't.
  2. Well, those crazy Arizonan's haven't done anything yet. F- for sure.
  3. And that's why, if you were a GM, you'd never have a winning team :P
  4. No, he's taking Phillips' advice and putting goodies in his room while he waits for people to show up. Waits is the key word.
  5. True, but I figured we were sort of counting on something in CF next year, either Wilk or Bradley. I assume asking for Pie would end any discussion about Pierre. I sure hope we make a run at Bradley, mainly because I prefer his name >_>
  6. Why not have both, though? I've always liked Kearns, so I'm probably biased, but he always seemed like a guy that has a lot of potential, and he has shown signs of being pretty solid. I'd love to have him in our OF at that cost.
  7. wtf? I figured if it got to 5 years he'd be a Card for sure.
  8. Maybe Gammons knows something is going to happen this week, that's why he left Walker out. Unfortunately so. Gammons seems like a half-decent analyst, doesn't he understand that Neifi has to die to not play?
  9. Ugh, I hate Harold Reynolds. Well, jesus, these teams that are building for now AREN'T GOING TO BE THERE WHEN THE MARLINS GET GOOD AGAIN! That's 4 years away smart guy. Ravech, who isn't a brain surgeon himself, just went over this 2 seconds ago. I don't think Reynolds even reads what he's supposed to anymore. Ugh.
  10. Yeah, I was very confused. I was pretty surprised to see his OBP jump 35 points since the season ended.
  11. THats the best thing Phillips has ever reported. I'm surprised he figured out how they worked though. He couldn't explain waivers during the ESPN Daygame once. That had me laughing. Anyways, nothing new and exciting yet. I wanna see: "Breaking News: ESPN Reporter Peter Gammons is reporting that the Chicago Cubs have traded center-fielder Corey Patterson to the Dodgers in exchange for Milton Bradley. More on this as more comes in." That's what I want to see.
  12. Yeah, Timmy looks kind of sick, or something.
  13. Lots of warning lol. But thanks, I guess. I don't know if I'm all that excited by hearing those morons right now.
  14. Can she play CF? Nah, she plays the role of Anna Benson. Except she's allowed in the clubhouse all the time. Keep morale up for Murton and Cedeno as Neifi and Mabry start in place of them. Except Brad Pitt already cheated on her so she is going to sleep with all the Cubs. This may alter their focus. Definitely. They play as fast as possible. They get to everything so they can make outs and end innings faster. To avoid extra innings they hit walk off and game winning homers every night.

  16. Kansas City or Colorado would be my bet.
  17. It's possible, but I'm pretty sure it boiled down to money.
  18. The Dodgers would be a nice fit for him. They'll get tired of Coletti shortly if he makes deals like this consistently.
  19. Yeah, I can't say I'd mind Damon at his price. And he can catch the ball, he just can't throw it. Nobody said anything about throwing it. He was the third/fourth best leadoff hitter in the AL last year, anyways.
  20. 40m/4 years would be a much smaller contract than I imagined. I still don't want him, but he's a better option than we've really pursued so far.
  21. Well, he could just walk out of the monster with a sign that says "Corey being Corey." All would be forgiven, laughs would be had, and beers would be spilled on each other.
  22. No, Neifi follow's Jim's philosophy of catching the ball. Soriano doesn't. That's why this doesn't make sense. Not really joking either.
