  1. Where'd he get picked off on? CBS Sportsline had him picke off 3rd base somehow? :? Caught in a rundown
  2. Can we trade that A-ball pitcher that we got for Lawton to the Indians for Dubois? There's a good fifth OF.
  3. It'd have to be Novoa getting sent back because Aardsma is still in Iowa. I think he was called up after the game today.
  4. I love when we play west coast teams (Padres and Dodgers specifically). I get to see the games :D
  5. lay off the caps lock. good start for [expletive]. I'm not complaining.
  6. It is early and I don't think anybody has been pleased with Pierre's play so far. But let's give him the chance to turn it around. That's why I said so far. I really think he'll turn it around, I just didn't realize how often he swings at bad pitches.
  7. I feel really, really bad for Pagan. I really liked him, he sounds like he loves the game too.
  8. i really haven't liked Pierre so far. He swings at so many bad pitches just to put the ball in play...it drives me nuts.
  9. "Juan Pierre is not a good outfielder" bahahahha. That was great. I think I visited my grandfather in the hospital that night, so I remember that being a big pickmeup. No he's not gone, his appendix blew up though.
  10. How many errors will the Reds commit today? I'm going with 3.
  11. Are you assuming Wood isn't healthy? While your rotation isn't bad, I'd prefer Zambrano, Prior, Wood, Maddux, Miller...especially if each is pitching near his 3-year average. In fact, if Wood, Prior and Miller return to pitch somewhere in that range, we will have one of if not the best rotation in the league. I have a really strong gut feeling that Wood is gonna come back and pitch like Kerry Wood for the rest of his season. I don't know what it is, but I just feel like he will. I agree and feel the same about Prior. I have no idea why because no rational human being should feel like that right now, but I do. Same for me on both of them. And third that for Miller. Oh...being a Cubs fan :)
  12. I dunno. Pratt makes the night hours fly by. Stewart just drives really fast. Perhaps Pratt can make this season not be another long year?
  13. Well, that's a ton of speed. Pagan hitting 5th seems pretty strange. At least Neifi isn't batting 2nd.
  14. BWAHAHAHAHA /nominates for funniest "The Dugout" thing ever It was alright. It was funnier because you're a Cubs fan. But it was only okay by the standards they've set. I still love Farnsworth Breaks Bad.
  15. It wouldn't be restovich unless it is something that would put Jacque on the 60-day DL. Restovich would have to be added to the 40 man roster, so someone would either have to go on the long-term DL or someone would have to be removed. Ah, didn't know that.
  16. Probably going to go with Sing or Restovich and start Pagan/Mabry.
  17. I have Encarnacion on my fantasy team. Me too.
  18. Remember how Prior was on "an accelerated schedule" after his last start? I can picture it now: Prior to start in a week It's only 4.5 runs per inning. It's doable.
  19. I'm with you Ryan. Thirded. *nods in agreement*
  20. Wade Miller
  21. I watched it at least 40 times this morning when he first posted it.
  22. awesome "That ball...deep into left field. Way way back! A GRAND SLAM!" Fantastic. :D :D :D
  23. /does his part
  24. I have some of the most pessimistic(for lack of a better word) projections for Murton, but he's a decent bet to put up similar numbers as Lee in the OBP department with superior defense. The fact that Lee is a more expensive rental, and that we're giving up 2 of our top pitching prospects that are on the cusp of the majors isn't worth the increase in power. Yeah, but Lee has that pop that we were looking for in the outfield. Yeah, at the cost of two near-ready prospects when he's not a ton better than Murton and after he had a catastrophic collapse in the second half of last season.
