Big East = 8 out of 16 teams in = 50 percent Big 12 = 7 out of 12 teams in = 58 percent ACC = 6 out of 12 teams in = 50 percent BTW, the ACC could easily also be done by the Sweet 16 (certainly more likely than the Big East). The Big East has the same fraction of teams in the dance as the ACC does, and LESS than the Big 12. Not saying any of those teams were undeserving, but apparently you think the Big East wasn't deserving of 8. If the Big East didn't deserve 8, then kick Georgia Tech and Florida State out too because they were less deserving than the 8th Big East team.

Well, 3-5 today, but I doubt all that many people did better. And three of my Final Four are still alive - which I'm betting is about as many as anyone. Only one person in my pool still has his Final Four intact, and he put Butler in there.

I was just thinking that if I had a paper bracket, I'd be preparing to set it on fire That's was my thought as well which is why I posted it. My bracket is toast. Although so are many others. Saw an ESPN thing where either 31.7% or 41.7% (can't remember which) picked Kansas to win it all which is the highest percentage since they have had brackets on their site. 42.2 percent is what I saw. I had Ohio State. I love it. Incredible.

I really can't say I'd have a problem with KU going out. Not just because I have them out in the Elite Eight and it would submarine about 3/4 of everybody else, but because UNI would be a really fun Cinderella to root for.

If you're Murray don't you have to just turn around and let fly once it's obvious time is running out? Just in case something good happens? Not that I'm complaining - I had Butler, and it's nice to win at least one of these second-round games.

Right. No matter what happens next year, we should definitely limit the Big East to five teams, based on this tiny sample of games. :D Big east was way overrated this year, Andy. The Big 12 and the Big East, by any metric, were the two best leagues in the country this year. RPI, Pomeroy, teams in the tourney, whatever measure you use. This performance is absolutely pathetic. Edit: Those two facts ARE mutually exclusive. Excuse my lack of English skills. According to Pomeroy, the ACC and Big 12 were the two best leagues in the country this year. Should've known. I need to just not talk.

I had a feeling as soon as I saw the stupid South that it would be the death of my bracket, and here we are. Texas A&M is already the only team left that can get me any points out of that region. At least Butler is winning.

You won't win many games if your best player no-shows and/or you give up a bunch of 3s, and all four Big East teams to be knocked out (and now Villanova) have done at least one of those things.

Looks like that McConnell guy is just going to hit everything. That's the problem with 54 percent 3-point shooters...they generally hit a lot of them.

Someone on another board pointed out that at least 1 team seeded everywhere between 1 and 14 made round 2. I wonder if that's ever happened before.

Xavier/Pitt could be fun too, though I feel like it has a much bigger chance of stinking.
