  1. Submitted without comment: Veasley is the only one of Butler's top seven graduating after this year.
  2. I'm not sure whether K-State is making themselves look bad or Butler is making them look bad. Probably both.
  3. So you would rather keep a defensive SS who can't hit? Millar can't hit better enough than Blanco to make up for the fact that he's old, a garbage defender and can't play any position that we don't already have like 4 other guys on the roster (who are better than he is) to play.
  4. Honestly, when does Aramis 'look like' he gives a crap? He just has that look a lot of the time. I don't give a crap as long as he knocks the piss out of the ball.
  5. It all goes back to blaming the entire 2009 season on Milton Bradley. Millar and his clubhouse chemistry and sub-.750 OPS will definitely make this team better.
  6. LOL and the first thing Fontenot does in the spring training game is boot a routine grounder at SS. This is going to end well.
  7. Good. I'm glad we can keep Millar and Tracy, who are completely redundant together on our bench, and to make that happen we trade our best defensive player. Brilliant.
  8. Tom Izzo. There's a reason. Best coach in college hoops, but he does not make Sparty unbeatable. Yeah, I'm with the Vol fans here, though I'll be rooting for MSU. Tennessee's team (not their coach like most of you guys, but their team) annoys me. Anyway, MSU's far from unbeatable. UNI really didn't play that well, especially offensively, and they still stuck with MSU. Tennessee can beat them if Chism is hitting shots.
  9. There is an IU fan friend of mine rooting for Purdue right now. I feel like rooting for conference needs some limits, and that's one of them. Duke/Baylor should be interesting.
  10. When the opposing team is shooting 5-for-25, it's hard not to be leading. Yeah, Duke will probably start knocking those down. Probably.
  11. That was a pretty [expletive] pathetic last possession.
  12. Well, I'm dunzo barring a miracle here. Stupid everyone-on-OSU-other-than-Turner.
  13. :banghead: Good one Evan Turner.
  14. At the same time though, Tennessee is playing like idiots at times. Grabbing Turner on that loose ball was just plain dumb. Someone on the Buckeyes besides Turner is going to have to knock one down to get to the next round.
  15. Was that the last game of the 4-game sweep right at the end of July where the Cubs won in a blowout? my favorite regular season series of all time. it topped the 5 game set against the cards in 2003 Ditto. My all-time favorite 'statement series'.
  16. If West Virginia beats Kentucky on Saturday I'd be the only person left in my money pool with their champ still alive. If UK wins I have to hope Ohio State can somehow beat them in the title game, because no one in the South will beat them.
  17. Holloway or Crawford deserved that shot. Even if this dude was a good 3-point shooter.
  18. DON'T EXPAND THIS [expletive] TOURNEY This is incredible.
  19. Refs missed the call. K-State fouled before the shot. Ugh
  20. Gus is ready to explode.
  21. Is there any chance at all Frank Martin uses words like "SELFISH AND SILLY" when away from CBS's microphones?
  22. Ha. I wish Notre Dame had standards flexible enough to get guys like E'Twaun Moore, JaJuan Johnson and Robbie Hummel in (note: I have no idea if any of those guys are good students, so if they are just disregard). All a matter of perspective, I guess. Eh, Purdue has to turn down recruits due to academics too. Obviously not to the same extent as ND. Kentucky (basketball) is just everything that's wrong with college sports. Yeah, obviously I didn't mean Purdue is a Kentucky. It's all a matter of degree. I really wish they'd go to the baseball rule of go to the pros right away or wait three years. I have no idea what's stopping them.
  23. Ha. I wish Notre Dame had standards flexible enough to get guys like E'Twaun Moore, JaJuan Johnson and Robbie Hummel in (note: I have no idea if any of those guys are good students, so if they are just disregard). All a matter of perspective, I guess.
  24. Big East basketball's official Twitter account just posted that WVU's win tonight gave the Big East an Elite Eight team every year since 2002, the longest streak of any conference. I only post that because that might be the all-time 'attempted spinning crap into gold' post in Twitter history.
  25. Considering Bilas is one of the most unbiased analysts alive, I have a hard time seeing how he comes off as "pretty biased." But believe what you want to believe, I guess. I love Bilas, but I'll say he's got a bit of a boner for the Big East. Though my sights of him are often limited to Big East games, he seems to talk them up a lot. I'm sure he's similar with the ACC, though.
