  1. Cody Ransom is gunning for Gritty McGritterson status on the team with his recent play.
  2. Does it? "History" in this case means "I pulled it out of my ass but I feel like it's true". Let me actually look it up. ETA: Hey, I was actually right for once. From a NY Post article on tonight's game:
  3. When did Gerald Wallace remember how to shoot? Was hoping the Bulls could get this one, but history shows the home team pretty much always win the game down 3-1.
  4. Oh, good, more ridiculous 'flagrant foul' calls. I thought we'd seen enough of that in the NCAA tournament.
  5. It still pisses me off several times a week that that garbage organization has 2 World Series titles in the last 16 years.
  6. Outstanding.
  7. I don't know, in 2007 I recall him being spectacularly good at stranding inherited runners. Nice play Castro! But Stanton was definitely safe.
  8. Apparently the Chiefs are willing to pay Dayne Crist to play football. Or at least invite him to rookie camp.
  9. I really like Boyd actually. Not like #1 overall pick like, but I think he's got a good chance to be a solid pro.
  10. For sneaky, Craig Roh to Carolina. For me, Mike Golic Jr to Pittsburgh and Braxston Cave to Cleveland. ETA: Cierre Wood to Houston.
  11. Schierholtz has been a really nice addition.
  12. This Valbuena kid can play this game a bit.
  13. But nobody is beating the Heat, so why weren't the stakes low in the month leading up to the playoffs? If rose plays all year and is playoff ready, they absolutely could beat the heat. Him just showing up and trying to play now, no freaking way. He means that if no one is beating the Heat without a fully-prepared Rose (and I agree with that thought), then why not play the last month or even couple weeks of the regular season and test the waters? What is there to lose? Nothing, but he didn't. That's what makes me think he thinks he's still hurt. But he isn't. He hasn't even said he thinks he's hurt. It's all about being ready, which is impossible to know unless you play.

  15. It was the same day.
  16. I agree with that; I'm frustrated with the Rose camp this season, but that's just pure meatballery. That said, generally question why people would be annoyed with him is just willfully putting blinders on. He has been out a year. Not everyone is Adrian Peterson. There is absolutely reason to question why people are annoyed at rose. There really isn't. He's been cleared to play for 2 months. There's nothing more he can do to get better other than play. Literally not one thing. ETA: I'm not saying you or anyone else is wrong for agreeing with his course of action, but there unequivocally is reason, if one is so inclined, to question Rose.
  17. I think we all agree going as far as saying "[expletive] Rose" is a little silly, but it's well past the point of being viable to question just what exactly is going on here with Rose and the Bulls.
  18. No homers to this point, and he just hit about 5 in one shot. Reminds me of the old MVP Baseball games where Krukow would say "You could cut that up and make about a hundred singles out of it"
  19. The main thing he had "issues" with were an in-game collision and the line-drive. That was then exacerbated by managerial misuse. Those issues spiral off into additional injuries based on attempts to adjust because of the major injuries. Which is all redundant in this case since we're talking about a pitcher's precise mechanics vs. a basketball player. True, I still argue though people are getting ridiculous over this. They're not beating the heat anyways. I [expletive] hate the 'not beating the Heat anyway' thing. First of all, no one's beating them next year either, so I guess he should just sit that out too. Second of all, even though he's probably superhuman and incapable of injury, the fact is the Heat are one LeBron injury away from this thing being wide open. It's ridiculous to just surrender.
  20. Only in playoff games. Wow, nice catch.
  21. If Derrick Rose and/or the Bulls believed he was still hurt, they would say so. If he was hurt, why hold that information to yourself and allow Rose to take the P.R. hit he has? Instead it's this nebulous garbage about being 'ready', even though every report we've seen indicates that he's as ready as anyone ever can be at this point in the season.
  22. I have no reason not to take him at his word. This just seems to me to be getting awfully close to the Mark Prior towel jokes. Nothings wrong Mark, the team doctors checked your shoulder. Don't remember Prior ever not playing when he was cleared to. They said many times the doctors saw nothing structurally wrong with his arm, that's all doctors have said about rose and his knee, no? I could be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure no matter what happened, Prior pitched when the Cubs and doctors agreed he was ready to. I know it's apples and oranges injury-wise, but there's no way in holy hell he's less healthy than Joakim Noah right now, and Noah's not only playing, he's playing pretty damn well.
  23. I literally cannot believe someone drafted B.J. Daniels.
