  1. Frankly, I'm glad Yelich is still raking. It would've pissed me off if he'd cooled off right after singlehandedly stealing the division from us.
  2. Those were 2 pretty strong quotes about the offense. Crossing my fingers.
  3. OK then who is the one above Lester. Too many white-ish guys with full beards Webster I think? I don't know if anyone else is as confused as I am over whether this is a joke or something, but that's Morrow. And the guy he labeled Lester is absolutely not Lester. I don't think it's Bote either, I think the guy he thought is Bote was Bote. In any case, didn't Passan say it was in the middle innings? This picture probably wouldn't determine any of this.
  4. Greenberg's article about hugs did that to me. Contreras was terrible in the second half, but like Baez, he plays with all-out effort and infectious joy, and I don't know how anyone doesn't like him.
  5. Anyone want to guess who that was? Someone in the dugout but not on the roster? Edwards? Freeman? Morrow? This was my thought. Everyone that came to mind that was on the roster didn't make sense either based on what we know about them or by game situation.
  6. That is terrifying Bryant would never say it if his shoulder was actually a problem. But if this is what he is from now on then yeah, we're toast.
  7. i've been like the leader of the "actually, the brewers are good" brigade for like 5 months They are good however, do really believe their starting pitching is going to be good enough to win a WS? They don't have any Klubers, granted, but Cleveland came within like a quarter of a second on Kipnis' swing against Chapman of winning the title with essentially 1 starter.
  8. Yeah, I don't want him gone because I think he's a very good manager of personalities if not of games. I would understand if they made a change, though.
  9. I was at that game. Other than watching Heyward's walk off slam and the Atlanta comeback that I didn't even see live, I don't think I'll remember any other positive moment about this season.
  10. Also I was yelling at the TV when Mendoza said Story's cheap ass horsefeathering dribbler was a win for the Cubs with 2 out in the 13th. What a dumbass comment.
  11. Fire Chili into the sun. I swear if he's the hitting coach I'm going bananas.
  12. Damn, if Almora could've just busted out one of his patented 92-hoppers...
  13. Probably, or Schwarber maybe? Has he played 1B before?
  14. Man oh man that was horsefeathering cool. WIN THIS horsefeathers
  15. Even if that hadn't gone in our favor, Javy got the guy at 1B, so I guess it was a worthy gamble
  16. He was facing a righty who couldn’t throw strikes and there were no extra consequences for a K. I’m pretty sure Heyward hit because they needed to put a new defensive OF in, which pisses me off Maybe Joe thought they were less likely to go to a lefty with Heyward than with Schwarber is the only thing I can think
  17. There is absolutely zero chance broken Bryant does something amazing, is there?
  18. Javy just utterly fell off the map these last couple weeks, huh
