  2. It's too bad the CFB congoscenti is going to spend the next week rehashing the close SC win and not the three blowouts and one fairly easy win that preceded it, but being in is cool.
  3. So it's gonna be like this, huh
  4. Pretty good chance IMO, but you never know with the committee. OU wouldn't have any wins as impressive as this one and their defense is really really awful. On the other hand, Purdue and Maryland.

  6. If they beat top 20 teams 36-3 every time, they can wear tie-dye for all I care.
  7. Stanford-Cal has been moved to conference championship weekend because of air quality issues after the fires in California.
  8. I haven't had Jet's specifically, but I'm a big fan of the square deep dish style. Very underrated.
  9. I hope numbering the bleacher areas isn't a precursor for getting rid of general admission.
  10. This isn’t last year. Voters have viewed BAMA on a different level all season, and one loss won’t kick them behind either the Big10 or Big XII champs, must less both. If anything, sneaking into the playoffs and winning it all last year only bolsters their case. Yeah, if Georgia pulled it off (they won't), I have a feeling Michigan would get squeezed out. They'd justify it by pointing to a comparatively meh victory over Northwestern in the league title game.
  11. Also, Petrino got fired at Louisville.

  13. Either Rizzo is a poor typist or he's enjoying his Friday night, and I think I know which one it is
  14. Oh no, have to settle for the literally unstoppable team you already had, I guess Unstoppable? Come on now. We’re not actually upset about losing Dez because you can’t really miss something you never had. It’s just “sweet we got Dez...oh...damn. Oh well” I'm extremely salty about Carolina being probably the 3rd best team in the NFC and yet already having pretty much locked in a road playoff game already
  15. Oh no, have to settle for the literally unstoppable team you already had, I guess
  16. They would if they believe he's permanently broken and want to get KB level assets for a player who's never going to be KB again. If they don't think that, then there's absolutely no reason to trade a player of his caliber right now unless they're getting someone they believe to be better right this minute in return.
  17. You're not. There's absolutely nothing in there that's news. The Cubs aren't horsefeathering trading Bryant. What a stupid article.
  18. Is everyone scared off by his asking price or are the teams using the same strategy to try and lower his price? My money is on option 2. It probably isn't actual collusion, but this is what collusion would look like.
  19. Ian Book out for ND with a rib injury (some sources saying kidney injury), Brandon Wimbush in for this week and possibly more.
  20. It's totally a shot at Joe. The timing is curious, but there could be a million reasons for that. I was as pissed off at Hickey as anyone the first half of the season (I have the posts to prove it), but outside of Chatwood's utter collapse, which probably wasn't his fault, on balance he seemed fine. But if all these changes energize the team somehow, that's ok too.
  21. Yeah but 1 slip up before the playoffs would have no affect on their playoff status unless its to Georgia in the SEC title game, and even then it has more effect on teams like Michigan/OSU than it does Bama. Alabama has to lose twice to be out. They'll be rated ahead of any other 1-loss team.
  22. Top 25 games ------------------------------ (16) Mississippi State at (1) Alabama (3:30 pm, CBS) (2) Clemson at (17) Boston College (8 pm, ABC) Florida State at (3) Notre Dame (7:30 pm, NBC) (4) Michigan at Rutgers (3:30 pm, BTN) (24) Auburn at (5) Georgia (7 pm, ESPN) Oklahoma State at (6) Oklahoma (3:30 pm, ABC) (7) LSU at Arkansas (7:30 pm, SEC Network) (8) Washington State at Colorado (3:30 pm, ESPN) TCU at (9) West Virginia (12 pm, FS1) (10) Ohio State at (18) Michigan State (12 pm, FOX) (11) Kentucky at Tennessee (3:30 pm, SEC Network) Navy at (12) UCF (12 pm, ESPN2) Louisville at (13) Syracuse (7 pm Friday, ESPN2) Wake Forest at (14) NC State (7:30 pm Thursday, ESPN) South Carolina at (15) Florida (12 pm, ESPN) (19) Texas at Texas Tech (7:30 pm, FOX) Wisconsin at (20) Penn State (12 pm, ABC) Northwestern at (21) Iowa (3:30 pm, FOX) Baylor at (22) Iowa State (3:30 pm, FS1) (23) Fresno State at Boise State (10:15 pm Friday, ESPN2) Other nationally available games --------------------------------------------------- Kent State at Buffalo (7:30 pm Tuesday, ESPNU) Ohio at Miami (OH) (7 pm Wednesday, ESPNU) Toledo at Northern Illinois (8 pm Wednesday, ESPN2) Ole Miss at Texas A&M (12 pm, CBS) Illinois at Nebraska (12 pm, BTN - Regional) Maryland at Indiana (12 pm, BTN - Regional) Kansas at Kansas State (12 pm, FSN) Tulsa at Memphis (12 pm, ESPNU) Vanderbilt at Missouri (12 pm, SEC Network) Lafayette at Army (12 pm, CBSSN) Akron at Eastern Michigan (12 pm, ESPN3) SMU at UConn (12 pm, ESPN3) North Carolina at Duke (12:20 pm, ACC Network/ESPN3) UCLA at Arizona State (2 pm, Pac-12 Network) North Texas at Old Dominion (2 pm, ESPN3) Liberty at Virginia (3 pm, FSN/ESPN3) Purdue at Minnesota (3:30 pm, ESPN2) Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh (3:30 pm, ESPNU) New Mexico at Air Force (3:30 pm, CBSSN) East Carolina at Tulane (4 pm, ESPNEWS) Appalachian State at Texas State (4 pm, ESPN3) San Jose State at Utah State (4 pm, Facebook) Western Kentucky at Florida Atlantic (5 pm, Facebook) Oregon at Utah (5:30 pm, Pac-12 Network) Miami at Georgia Tech (7 pm, ESPN2) South Florida at Cincinnati (7 pm, ESPNU) Temple at Houston (7 pm, CBSSN) Oregon State at Stanford (9 pm, Pac-12 Network) California at USC (10:30 pm, ESPN) UNLV at San Diego State (10:30 pm, ESPN2) Colorado State at Nevada (10:30 pm, ESPNU)
  23. Yeah, I only included them because they'd likely be the team that has to beat Michigan. But yeah, rather see UCF try to "Boise St" their way into an upset. OU and Georgia would have to have everything go perfectly to give Bama a fight, they are so horsefeathering good. Alabama would score 70 against Oklahoma. Rude to assume Nick Saban would take his team off the field after 25 minutes of play.
  24. ND was so mad about being ranked behind LSU, largely for not killing weaker competition, that they immediately sucked against weak competition. The committee is gonna put Michigan ahead of ND even if they win this game
  25. I'm impressed any of you noticed that. I was too caught up in the moment to see anything until the replay.
