  1. I'm assuming sarcasm? Of course. Oh my, Mike Seidman has turned up on an NFL roster? Wow. He's been the Panthers' backup tight end for the past two seasons, I believe.
  2. I didn't have anywhere else to put this but I need to ask Raisin if he has a contact in the Panthers' front office...Shaun Williams became the 4th UCLA alum to suit up for Carolina for the 2006 season, joining DeShaun Foster, Ricky Manning, and Mike Seidman.
  3. Monmouth beat Hampton easily tonight in the play-in game. Not that it matters but I never seem to correctly guess the winner of those things.
  4. Duke/WV Memphis/UCLA UConn/UNC Nova/OSU WV/UCLA UConn/Nova UConn over UCLA First round lower seeds winning: Bucknell over Arkansas, UNC Wilmington over GW, Wisconsin over Arizona, Alabama over Marquette, George Mason over MSU, Utah State over UW, and UW-Milwaukee over OU AND Florida
  5. Bases loaded, 2 outs, DR 2, Venezuela 1, 9th inning. Gotta love this. Come on Venezuela!
  6. Reyes on 3rd with Mo at the plate. Mo lines out to first, and they almost double off Reyes. Big insurance run off the board for DR.
  7. It would be one heck of a road to hoe having to beat those three teams AFTER they lost in round one. In all seriousness, it would be tough. Lucky for them, I have that road being Iowa, Cal and Duke. A little less difficult.
  8. So we need Korea to beat Japan, and beat Mexico by enough to secure the runs-given-up tiebreaker.
  9. Pretty much describes life as a Cubs fan, doesn't it?
  10. 5-0. Gotta love how Mexico's pitching goes kaput the second we need them.
  11. Also, WV was not in the FF last year. They should've been, but blew a 20-point lead to Louisville in the Elite Eight.
  12. Last time Prior had minor shoulder issues, he didn't pitch until June. Season in severe jeopardy of being over.
  13. Loaiza sucks. Japan loads the bases with no one out, then a two-run single, and a two-run homer. 4-0 Japan.
  14. Loaiza dodged another bullet (2nd and 3rd with 1 out) in the 3rd inning. After 3, it's still scoreless.
  15. Hitoshi Tamura bunts and ends up grounding into a double play :D Man on 2nd with 2 out now.
  16. 1st and 2nd no one out for the Japanese. :x
  17. The MVP of the Classic so far, Beltre, comes up with the bases juiced.
  18. Wow, great pitch to ring up Endy Chavez.
  19. Sweet, Venezuela is busting out their kick-ass red jerseys again tonight.
  20. How come we couldn't ever get decent major leaguers who could consistantly hit .300 for minor league pitching when that was all we had to offer a few years ago? Too reluctant to trade the pitching. Now most of that pitching has been injured and/or didn't pan out. I blame the scouting dept who hasn't been able to help Hendry recognize when to make a trade or not. The Cubs haven't traded a minor leaguer at their peak value yet. Sanchez? Beltran? Choi? Bobby Hill too...
  21. Airs on ESPN2 at 12:30 am CT. Go Mexico!!!! Edited to add gametime to the thread title
  22. Now THIS ought to be fun. Winner goes on, loser goes home (or Mesa, or Scottsdale, or St. Petersburg...)
  23. There's a better than decent chance that this would be the most anticipated, watched and heated national title game ever if it actually came to fruition.
  24. My 12 was Utah State over Washington... My double-digit seeded Sweet 16 team is Wisconsin-Milwaukee... And my surprise Final Four team is West Virginia. I wholeheartedly expect none of these three to work out.
