  1. BTW, I take full blame for jinxing Rocket. Tejada ended his streak at 11 tonight.
  2. I picked Perez in the 2nd round last year. I still finished 3rd. That's how good (read: lucky outside of Perez)) I am.
  3. wow.
  4. That's not new.
  5. Look harder.
  6. New season high as Pujols gets me to 5! Dan Johnson for Saturday (changed from Bay) and Bay on Sunday (the Rusch factor).
  7. Aaron Harang beat Chris Carpenter 1-0 tonight. You are reading this correctly.
  8. Care to elaborate? Are you referring to his tendency to want to "get his starters wins"? I nominate Narron, because it's always too soon to pull your starters when you have the Cincy bullpen. That quote reminds me of when he pulled Carp in a game he didn't look sharp in last year after four innings and 60 pitches to preserve a long winning streak of his. That annoyed me.
  9. I like "In the Summertime".
  10. This doesn't seem right to me. Injured Cubs pitchers aren't supposed to even progress ON schedule, let alone ahead of it. Something's afoot.

Ronnie Brewer would make me very happy. I don't think he'll last that long. I'd be tempted to take Redick at 16 if the Jazz pass on him at 13, but he's not a great fit for the Bulls. Current mock has the Bulls taking Brewer with pick number 2. I could live with him or Redick. There's no way Foye drops to the Bulls, although if he did I'd love to have him.
  12. Oh. I have playoff tickets for Game 6 if it gets that far. :)
  13. Had there not been a Cubs game on to distract me, I would have had about 25 posts tonight that went something like this: OMG BEN GORDON <3 <3 <3 BEN GORDON I LOVE YOU BULLS = BEN GORDON That was one of the best games I've seen since...Ben's single-handed demolition of Indiana in the 4th. :D Bulls now would have to tank it to lose the 8th spot (now 1 game up with tiebreaker with 3 games left) and are still only 1 game out of 6th! And they can still finish .500 for the season.

  15. it's not a weakness. that's what happens when you're patient like that. you end up getting strike 3 called a lot. I prefer that to waving at stupid crap and getting strike 3. Besides, my theory is that patient hitters end up getting some leeway from the ump on 2-strike counts. If he doesn't swing, the ump might be more likely to call it a ball because of how patient the hitter is.
  16. And Weurtz shouldn't have joined the team. And to think that Wuertz was the Marshall of 2004: minor leaguer that wins a spot with a money ST.
  17. It's criminal that Marshall, who pitched pretty well, has double the earned runs of Wuertz, who single-handedly tried to give it away. TY Williamson :)
  18. Wasn't it 8-2, like, five minutes ago?
  19. 8-6 Cubs, bases empty. Wuertz throwing gopher balls to everyone.
  20. How many of those runs has Wuertz allowed to cross the plate? Two, I believe.
